Hudson Tragedy Had Recent Arrest

Reports are surfacing that the person of interest in the Jennifer Hudson family homicides was arrested over the summer.

Parole records show that William Balfour was arrested for drug possession in June, The Associated Press reports.

Balfour has since been on parole and missed his meeting with his parole agent on Friday – the day Hudson's mother and brother were killed.

Balfour is the husband to Hudson's sister, Julia Hudson, but they are separated. He is currently being held on parole violation.

Joy & Elizabitch: Not Speaking not each other !

So who will it come down to on The View?

Will Barbara Walters keep funny lady Joy Behar around or opt to keep the delusional Elisabeth Hasselbeck?

That decision may have to be made soon!

A new report in the Chicago Sun-Times claims that the tension between Behar and Elizabitch is getting unbearable.

Apparently the two aren't speaking to each other, only when they're on air or a camera is present.

It seems their screaming matches backstage have been escalating, primarily because of their very different views on the upcoming elections.

And Hasselbeck is said to be furious at the fact that Joy has been doing impersonations of her from the Florida rally this past weekend, even wearing a shiteous green coat.

Joy even tried to poke fun at Elizabitch by saying that it doesn't matter if Sarah Palin spends $150,000 on a shopping spree, because she said jokingly, "Elisabeth spends that much in a month!"

But it seems Hasselbeck is growing tired of this and is complaining to producers and Walters.

It's a tough choice, but, we say….

Keep Elisabeth! She's the only exciting thing on The View these days.

Police identify body of Jennifer Hudson's nephew and Death a Homicide with Exclusive Video!!!

Members of Jennifer Hudson's family have identified a body found in an SUV Monday morning as that of the singer's nephew.

The body of Julian King was found on the floor of his uncle's SUV, which was wanted in connection to the disappearance of the 7-year-old. King had been missing since Friday.

Police would not say how or where the boy died, but unconfirmed reports say King was shot.

Three family members, including Jennifer Hudson; Julian's mother, Julia Hudson; and another man, went to identify the body. Jennifer Hudson made the official identification.

They arranged to view Julian's body via a live video feed. Upon seeing his face, Jennifer Hudson reportedly made the official identification. A Cook County spokesperson commented on the moment

"Remarkably, Jennifer Hudson was very strong for her family, and it was very apparent that she was the leader within that group, that kept the composure," said Sean Howard, Cook County spokesman. "It was a very touching, emotional moment but yet and still Ms. Hudson remained strong, and she encouraged her family members to remain strong."

An Amber Alert was issued for King after the Oscar-Award winning actress' mother, 57-year-old Darnell Donerson, and brother, 29-year-old Jason Hudson, were found shot to death Friday on the city's South Side. That Amber Alert included a description of Jason Hudson's SUV, which was found in the 1300-block of South Kolin Avenue Monday just after 7 a.m. It was towed away around 9 a.m.

"Responding officers observed a white, Chevy Suburban with license plate number X584859 and confirmed that this was the vehicle that was the subject of the Amber Alert and the wanted vehicle. Further investigation revealed that a body was inside. But can't identify the body pending the medical examiner's examination. The vehicle has been towed for further processing, and the investigation is ongoing," said Gulliford.

Investigators closed off the area where the vehicle was found. It is not clear how long the vehicle was parked on the street. Chicago Police Supt. Jody Weis said it had likely been several days.
Early Monday morning, police sources say that they searched a home in the 1900-block of South Spaulding, which is about six or seven blocks from where William Balfour, 27, a person of interest in the murders, was arrested. He has not been charged but he is in police custody on a parole violation.

Oscar winner Dream Girl and American Idol finalist Jennifer Hudson lost her mom and brother, both found murdered in the Hudson Chicago home on the southside.

An Amber alert has been issued for Jennifer's missing nephew who is 7-years-old.

And the other side Julian King, the 7-year-old nephew of Jennifer Hudson, died of multiple gunshot wounds and his death has been ruled a homicide, the Cook County Medical Examiner's office said Tuesday.

"We're not releasing anything else," said ME spokesman Sean Howard. "We possibly have a criminal out there and we have to maintain discretion."

King, the son of Hudson's sister, Julia, was found dead in the back seat of a white SUV vehicle on Chicago's South Side Monday. Three days earlier, the singer's mother, Darnell Donerson, and brother, Jason Hudson, were found fatally shot in their home.

King had been missing since the killings and police had sent out an Amber Alert for the boy.

William Balfour, 27, who is King's stepfather and Julia's estranged husband, remains in custody on a parole violation. Police called him a "person of interest" in the slayings of Donerson and Hudson, but he has not been charged with any crimes.

When asked if Balfour is a person of interest in King's death as well as in the slaying of his grandmother and uncle, Monique Bond, spokesman for the Chicago Police Department, told PEOPLE: "It's all one investigation."

Bond added: "Our investigation continues. He is still considered a person of interest in the investigation."

Miley on Britney and Lindsay

After hearing what was surely a first-time question about how she feels about being compared to Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan, Miley Cyrus showed she's pretty savvy when it comes to dealing with the media.

"I think they are both really talented and, I don't know about around here, but at the Video Music Awards and everything, Britney Spears has been taking all the awards home and has really had quite a comeback," the tween sensation told reporters in Germany while on tour for her new album, Breakout.

Being careful to keep the praise limited to their activities onstage and onscreen, the Hannah Montana star went on to heap on the praise a little thicker.

"So, I just think that they are super successful, and hopefully when I am compared to them, it's them [...] career-wise because they have all been super successful and had amazing careers and they are both really talented."

Only time shall tell, Miley, especially with that 20-year-old boytoy of yours!

Brings a different "porno" to theaters Kevin Smith and His Interview (Video)

Sex was an endless topic of conversation for the characters in director Kevin Smith's 1994 breakthrough hit "Clerks," but in his new movie "Zack and Miri Make a Porno," sex is more than talked about, it's on display.

"Zack and Miri Make a Porno" debuts in theaters on Friday and is likely to be labeled as Smith's most sex-filled movie yet in a career that is long on topics of sex, raunchy humor and scatology.

His 1997 film "Chasing Amy" tells of a woman who had sex with two men. "Dogma" (1999) has a demonic character made of excrement. In "Clerks," a woman mistakenly has sex with a dead man in the dark and its sequel, 2006's "Clerks II," features a show involving a donkey -- enough said.

Still, Smith told Reuters in a recent interview that sex is not the point in "Zack and Miri." Love is. The director uses sex as a way to explore human lives and relationships.

"For me, a character is fully explored when you can really get your head around them, when you know a bunch about them," Smith said. "And there's no better way of knowing a person than knowing what their sex life is."

Zack and Miri (Seth Rogen and Elizabeth Banks) are not porn stars -- at least not until their dead-end jobs leave the platonic friends with no electricity or running water in the apartment they share in frigid Pittsburgh.

So, they enlist the help of some eager exhibitionists to make an amateur porn movie they believe will earn them enough money to lessen their predicament.

Zack and Miri promise each other that having sex on camera will not ruin their friendship, but making a porno movie proves to be more emotionally complicated than they expect.

"The movie definitely lives up to its title. Zack and Miri do indeed make a porno," Smith said. "But that being said, the movie's not really about it."

"PORNO" TOO HOT?

Still, it took some convincing to get the Motion Picture Association of America to see the movie the way Smith does. The MPAA represents major Hollywood studios, and its ratings are used as a way to classify the content within a film.

In the case of "Zack and Miri," it was initially rated "NC-17," which means no children 17 years-old and under are permitted. Very often that rating has swayed some viewers and advertisers to think a film is, in fact, pornographic, even though it is not in the eyes of the MPAA ratings board.

Smith agrees some scenes "push the edge of the envelope" as to what could be considered porn, but he appealed the rating. Eventually, it was reduced to "R," which means people 17 and under can see it if they are accompanied by an adult.

Rogen, 26, fresh off the success of his marijuana-themed summer hit "Pineapple Express" and the 2007 sex comedies "Knocked Up" and "Superbad," -- all rated R -- said he never understood why "Zack and Miri" almost received an NC-17.

"I honestly feel like if people saw it they would have been like, 'This is NC-17?'" Rogen said. "And they would have been disappointed...I know enough about movies to know we're not doing anything that hasn't been done in movies rated PG-13."

Advertising the film, which is being released by The Weinstein Co, has proven tricky.

Officials in Philadelphia, for instance, declared their bus stops off-limits to ads because the film's story involved pornography, and TV spots are airing as just "Zack and Miri" without "make a porno" being spoken along with the title.

"I'm stunned that people have that big of an objection to the word," Smith said. "Porno is not a bad word, it's a word that describes something. It's a word that describes a genre or a field of filmmaking," he said.

Jessica Simpson will came back in an Russian Movie

Jessica Simpson is definitely a “Major Movie Star” – at least in Russia.

Simpson’s new big screen comedy, “Major Movie Star,” opened atop the box office in Russia earlier this month, according to a report by Fox News’ Roger Friedman.

What makes the achievement all the more interesting is the fact the film has never opened in the U.S.

In fact, there is no potential U.S. release date listed anywhere for the movie.

The comedy, which wrapped production in August 2007, starred Simpson as a naïve pop singer who attempts to win over a movie studio who dubs her “unsuitable” for their upcoming military-themed film.

To prove them wrong and win the role, she enlists in the U.S. Army. Once she arrives at the military base, she realizes she’s made a mistake, but decides to stick to it so she won’t let her country down.

The film also stars Vivica A. Fox, Cheri Oteri, Steve Gutenberg and new “High School Musical 3” star Olesya Rulin.

“Major Movie Star” also lists over a dozen producers on the project, including Jess’ own father, Joe Simpson.

Barack Obama's 'Daily Show' to Wednesday Media Onslaught

Wednesday (Oct. 29) will be Barack Obama Night on your television.

The Democratic presidential candidate will appear on "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart," stopping by the Comedy Central hit on the same evening he addresses the nation with a half-hour network special.

Sen. Obama won't actually be sitting down with Stewart, though. His fourth "Daily Show" appearance, and first since April 21, will be via satellite from Florida.

The episode will be broadcast just hours after Obama's campaign special airs on CBS, FOX and NBC. ABC and The CW will continue with regular programming in the 8 p.m. hour, showing "Pushing Daisies" and "America's Next Top Model" respectively.

With the presidential election rapidly approaching, "The Daily Show" has set audience records, averaging 2.1 million viewers per night in October. Sen. Obama will have to compete with his own spouse for family supremacy. Michelle Obama's Oct. 8 appearance drew a record 2.9 million viewers.

Obama has a long way to go before he can catch up to his Republican rival Sen. John McCain, who has made at least a dozen "Daily Show" appearances, most recently on May 7.

Julianne Hough Final Dancing with the Stars

Don't be fooled by her delicate physique: Julianne Hough's no wussy.

The "Dancing with the Stars" pro headed into a planned appendectomy Tuesday morning, mere hours after nailing the samba with partner Cody Linley on the hit ABC show.

That's right: She knew about the surgery beforehand ... and danced anyway.

"Everything's OK," Hough said on DWTS Monday night. "I'm going to hopefully be back, if everything goes as planned, next week."

Joked host Tom Bergerson: "Only Julianne could say, 'I'm having my appendix out, and I'll be back in a week.' "

Hough was rushed to the hospital last week after complaining of stomach cramps, where she was diagnosed with endometriosis, the development of uterine-lining tissue on the surfaces of organs in the pelvis or abdomen where they are not supposed to grow.

Despite the pain, which her rep says has been "coming and going since last week," the 20-year-old only missed one rehearsal for the show.

So is this tough-as-nails 'tude specific to Hough? Not according to Mignon Furman, director of New York's American Academy of Ballet, who says such commitment is par for the course.

"The show must go," she said. "Dancers are very serious about that."

In fact, Furman added, she's even seen dancers "throw up on the side of the stage and go back on" during performances.

"They're tough cookies," agrees Angela Prince, national public relations director for USA Dance. "If something hurts, that doesn't mean that they stop. It's mind over body sometimes."

Meanwhile, Hough has been "in great spirits," her rep says, and plans to keep fans updated on her health after the surgery.

What, no post-op rhumba?

Zac Efron is Footloose and roadblock-free

Paramount Pictures is doing everything it can to make sure Zac Efron is Footloose and roadblock-free.

In the wake of the box-office domination of the Zefron-juiced High School Musical 3: Senior Year, the studio has put its remake of the Kevin Bacon classic on the fast track, with production slated to begin on the musical next spring.

According to Variety, Paramount is doing what it can to ensure a smooth run-up to the start date, including offering the 21-year-old star a "mid-seven-figure salary" and script approval.

Along for the potentially lucrative ride is HSM3 director Kenny Ortega, who will once again shepherd Efron through the lofty big-screen endeavor.

Because the studio is hoping the Footloose audience skews slightly older than Efron's current demographic—aiming for older teens and adults in lieu of Disneyfied tweens—Paramount has enlisted the slightly more edgy talents of Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist director Peter Sollett to give the script a once-over.

Bringing out all the stops, the studio has also commissioned new songs to be written for the flick. While the original was, without question, a music-heavy venture, the remake will go one step further and actually branch into musical genre territory. As further insurance for success, the studio has roped in two Chicago producers to lend a hand on the movie.

The project was first announced in July 2007, but was put on the back burner while the star went into production on HSM3 and 17 Again, which is set for release next April.

Meanwhile, word of the film's fast-tracking is seemingly news even to Efron, who earlier this month spoke in hopeful, albeit much less definitive, terms about the project.

"Footloose is coming together, actually," he said. "We're trying to figure out the right way to do it, but yeah. It seems like it's going to happen."

Broadway Offer Condolences To Jennifer Hudson and also 'American Idol'

No one can possibly imagine what Jennifer Hudson is going through after the horrifying loss of her relatives, but the "American Idol" contestant-turned-Oscar winner is in the thoughts of her former co-stars.

While friends and family mourn the loss of Hudson's mother, brother and young nephew, both Simon Cowell and Paula Abdul, who worked with the singer when she launched her career, have sent her messages of support, as has one of her fellow contestants, Jon Peter Lewis.

"This is a horrific tragedy, and my thoughts and prayers go out to Jennifer and her entire family," said Paula Abdul in a statement on Monday. "The time I had to get to know Jennifer and forge a wonderful friendship with her while she was on Idol was very special to me, and I personally can't imagine a greater loss for any family."

Simon Cowell released his own statement after police confirmed on Monday that the body of a young boy, who was found shot in the head, belonged to Hudson's 7-year-old nephew Julian King, who had disappeared from home on Friday, when Hudson's mother and brother were brutally killed.

"I was horrified when I heard the news. This is an appalling tragedy. My thoughts right now are with Jennifer, and her family," Cowell told Extra.

Speaking to Access Hollywood, one of Hudson's castmate on "American Idol," Diana DeGarmo, who finished second on the show's third season, said she was "completely shocked and stunned" to learn about the loss of her mother and brother with whom she had a very close relationship. "Jennifer always spoke about her mom, how close they were and how much of a ‘big sister’ role her mom played in her life," DeGarmo added.

"My heart, my prayers and love go out to Jennifer and her family," LaToya London, who placed fourth on the same season of "American Idol," told Access Hollywood. "I will constantly keep them in my prayers. Jennifer, stay strong."

Upon learning of the tragic deaths on Friday, another former "Idol" contestant Jon Peter Lewis sent his thoughts and prayers to Hudson, "I am so bereft of words, just how shocking this is … how senseless and heartbreaking," he told People. Lewis and Hudson became friends during the 2004 competition when both advanced to the top 12. They later traveled the country on the "American Idol" summer tour.

Even Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Barack Obama, who shares the same Chicago hometown as Hudson, expressed his condolences saying he and his wife were "heartbroken to learn about this unimaginable tragedy."

"We want Jennifer to know that she is in our thoughts and prayers during this very difficult time," the Illinois senator was quoted by People as saying. In August, Hudson fulfilled a personal request from Obama's camp to sing the national anthem during the Democratic National Convention.

Upon the recent turn of events, the "Dreamgirls" stage has also gone dark. Out of respect for Hudson, casting for the show’s upcoming national tour has been postponed.

"Our prayers and thoughts are with Ms. Hudson and her family at this tragic time," producer John Breglio said Monday.

It sounds like the singer has a lot of friends in her corner right now, which is good, as she will need them to help her get through this senseless tragedy. For now, it appears that the actress/singer, who was about to release her first solo CD, has put her career on hold to support her family.

Meanwhile, it has been reported that around 100 people have gathered for a candlelight vigil outside the Englewood neighborhood family home of Hudson's family Monday, October 27 to grief the tragedy happened to her family.

Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, Britney Spears HBO TV Series

Take an aspiring fashion designer, add a would-be singer, throw in a fast food obsessive, and what have you got?

The three central characters for a proposed HBO comedy starring Paris Hilton, Britney Spears, and Lindsay Lohan.
Ricky Gervais and Desperate Housewives creator Marc Cherry have been approached by the award-winning cable network to create a campy comedy series starring three of the most infamous tabloid queens in Tinseltown, according to a new tabloid scoop.

“The chemistry between them will be electric,” a source told Britain’s Daily Mail on Monday. “They were all very close and have had their ups and downs in the LA party world. But they have overcome those problems now.”

“And they can draw from their experiences for the sitcom,” the insider adds.

“Paris would play the most ambitious of the three. Her character is supposed to be a hot fashion designer. She goes to great lengths to push her bizarre designs, with often hilarious results.”

“Britney’s character is an aspiring singer. But, like Phoebe from Friends, her bizarre lyrics hold her back.”

“And Lindsay Lohan is a little like Matt Le Blanc’s wannabe actor character from Friends. She’s obsessed with men and fast food.”

Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens arriving at Lax from Hawaii

After attending the wedding of Zefrons manager (Jason Barrett) in Hawaii, Zac Efron and girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens hide underneath their hoodies as they return home to Los Angeles via LAX airport on Monday. (If this scene looks familiar, the couple did the same thing at Best Buy.)
Because Zac and director Kenny Ortega delivered a $42 million opening weekend for High School Musical 3, Zac and Kenny may start working together again on Footloose as early as next spring.According to Variety, Zac is almost set in a deal that will pay him a mid-seven-figure salary. Mr. Efron is working his way up to leading man pay-outs!

They had a romantic weekend away in Hawaii, attending a wedding and relaxing on the beach. And last night, Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens were spotted arriving at LAX International Airport.

The “High School Musical” sweethearts looked happy and well-rested as they made their way through the main terminal together, laughing and smiling all the way.

Miss Hudgens tried her best to hide from the paparazzi underneath a white hooded sweatshirt, teamed with a pair of black pants and flip flops while Mr. Efron sported a green hoodie and dark wash jeans.

With “High School Musical 3: Senior Year” raking in $42 million in its opening weekend, it looks like Zac and HSM director Kenny Ortega will be collaborating again in the near future on a remake of “Footloose.”

Julian King - Jennifer Hudson's Nephew found !

Chicago police have found the body of a boy in an SUV that they were looking for after the shooting deaths of the mother and brother of the actress and singer Jennifer Hudson, and the disappearance of her 7-year-old nephew.

Commander Wayne Gulliford of the Chicago police told reporters at a news conference Monday that the SUV matched the one they sought in an Amber Alert issued after the slayings. Mr. Gulliford said the police were waiting for a medical examiner report that would identify the body.

Julian King, Ms. Hudson’s nephew, has been missing since Friday, when Ms. Hudson’s mother and brother were found, at about 3 p.m., shot to death in their Chicago home. Both were dead of multiple gunshot wounds. Julian is believed to have been home at the time of the shooting. Ms. Hudson has offered a $100,000 reward for his safe return. The F.B.I. and local police authorities had been searching for a 1994 white Chevrolet Suburban belonging to Ms. Hudson’s brother, Jason, that was taken from the home after the shootings. That car, with the body of a boy, was found on the city’s west side on Monday morning after a resident reported a suspicious vehicle.

Julian is the son of Ms. Hudson’s older sister, Julia. William Balfour, the boy’s estranged stepfather and former husband of Julia Hudson, has been named as a “person of interest” in the case, but has not been charged.

On Sunday, he was taken into custody by the Illinois Department of Corrections for a parole violation. He has convictions for attempted murder, vehicular hijacking and possession of a stolen motor vehicle, according to the department. He was released from prison in May 2006 and remains on probation.

Jennifer Hudson, whose performance in “Dreamgirls” earned her the Oscar for best supporting actress, had been on a promotional tour in Florida for her latest movie, “The Secret Lives of Bees,” when she received word of the killings. She returned to Chicago on Friday night.

She had been scheduled to leave on Monday for a world tour for her self-titled debut album, which includes the single “Spotlight,” which reached No. 1 on Billboard’s R&B charts.

On Saturday, Julia Hudson called for the return of her son in a tearful plea from a church pulpit, and held out hope he was still alive.

“All I ask, I don’t care who you are, just let the baby go,” she said, speaking from the podium of the Pleasant Gift Missionary Baptist Church in Chicago where her sister used to sing.

“Please keep praying for our family and that we get Julian King back home safely," Jennifer Hudson said in a posting on her MySpace page on Sunday. She also posted two pictures of her nephew wearing the brown-and-orange striped polo shirt he was wearing when he was last seen.

Madonna’s Sex Schedule !!!

Many have speculated that Guy Ritchie’s jealousy over wife Madonna’s relationship with baseball player Alex Rodriguez was the last straw in their breakup. Now a U.K. tabloid is saying the real problem was that Madonna put sex with Guy second to Pilates and pumping iron.

According to a report in London’s Daily Mail, Ritchie says the marriage disintegrated when Madonna started planning their sex life around her daily 3 to 4 hour gym sessions.

Richie reportedly complained to his lawyers that the couple’s bedroom time was meticulously planned by Madge for weeks in advance, which reportedly killed the thrill for him.

I feel Guy’s pain. Being penciled in for sex isn’t the kind of thing that really puts the lead in a guy’s pencil, ya know?

Sarah Palin's home state News endorses Barack Obama !

"Alaska's largest newspaper has endorsed Democrat Barack Obama for the White House, saying it would be too risky to put the state's Republican governor Sarah Palin just "one 72-year-old heartbeat from the leadership of the free world."

The Anchorage Daily News, the leading daily in the overwhelmingly Republican state, called Mrs Palin's vice-presidential nomination "an improbable and highly memorable event" which had brought prominence to Alaska. Nevertheless, the paper said that "despite her formidable gifts, few who have worked closely with the governor would argue she is truly ready to assume command of the most important, powerful nation on earth "

The paper was even more scathing in its assessment of the top of the Republican ticket: "Our sober view is that her running mate, Senator John McCain, is the wrong choice for president at this critical time for our nation."

"Senator Barack Obama, the Democratic nominee, brings far more promise to the office," the Anchorage Daily News said.

"In a time of grave economic crisis, he displays thoughtful analysis, enlists wise counsel and operates with a cool, steady hand. The same cannot be said of Senator McCain."

Particularly on the top campaign issue - the faltering US economy - the newspaper said Mr McCain "has stumbled and fumbled badly in dealing with the accelerating crisis as it emerged".

"His behaviour in this crisis - erratic is a kind description - shows him to be ill-equipped to lead the essential effort of reining in a runaway financial system and setting an anxious nation on course to economic recovery."

Sara Palin in McCain campaign Report

Bitter infighting between aides to John McCain and Sarah Palin erupted into public view in a sign of tension gripping the Republican camp with the election 10 days away.

A series of recent surveys have suggested Palin's presence on the ticket is hurting McCain's chances in the November 4 election, at a time when Democratic rival Barack Obama has surged clear in most key polls.

The inquests into what has gone wrong with McCain's campaign appear to have already begun, according to reports, with Palin's camp blaming the Arizona senator's senior advisers for mismanaging her contribution.

The Politico.com website cited four Republicans close to Palin as saying she had grown frustrated by advice given to her by campaign handlers, whom her supporters blame for a series of public relations gaffes.

The report said Palin was now increasingly willing to disregard orders from advisors, suggesting the Republican running mate was in the initial stages of forging her own identity for a future tilt at the White House.

"She's lost confidence in most of the people on the plane," said a senior Republican quoted by Politico, adding that Palin had already begun to "go rogue" in some of her public pronouncements on the campaign trail.

The Alaska Governor's supporters accused McCain strategist Steve Schmidt and senior aide Nicolle Wallace of blaming Palin for the failure of the campaign.

"These people are going to try and shred her after the campaign to divert blame from themselves," a McCain insider was quote by Politico as saying.

When asked to comment on the Politico story by AFP, Wallace said in an email: "I have no comment other than what's in the story, if people wish to throw me under the bus, my personal belief is that the graceful thing to do is to lie there."

Later Saturday, Politico quoted McCain advisers reacting angrily to the report, branding Palin a "diva."

The McCain sources said Palin had repeatedly gone "off-message" recently, suggesting she appeared to be looking out for herself.

"She is a diva. She takes no advice from anyone," the McCain source said. "She does not have any relationships of trust with any of us, her family or anyone else."

A McCain source quoted by CNN added: "She is playing for her own future and sees herself as the next leader of the party. Remember: Divas trust only unto themselves, as they see themselves as the beginning and end of all wisdom."

Another senior McCain adviser told the network: "This is what happens with a campaign that's behind; it brings out the worst in people, finger-pointing and scapegoating."

News of tensions within the McCain camp comes after polls suggested Palin -- who electrified the party when named as running mate in August -- is now dragging down the Republican ticket.

A Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll released on Wednesday found that Americans are less and less convinced she is worthy to serve as the country's number-two leader.

It confirmed the findings of an ABC/Washington Post poll released earlier this month which found that six in 10 voters saw Palin, 44, as lacking the experience to be an effective president. "A third are now less likely to vote for McCain because of her," the Post added.

After being found guilty of abusing her power as governor in the so-called "troopergate" scandal over the firing of her ex-brother-in-law, Palin now faces a second probe over whether she violated ethics rules in the affair.

Palin was also back in the headlines this week after it emerged 150,000 dollars had been spent on clothes for Palin since late August, potentially undermining her appeal as a down-to-earth working "hockey mom."

Was Bono 'Chaperoneing' the Bikini Teens?

Yup, that's Bono in those pics creepily touching two bikini-clad teens.

He's married!

Why would he allow such pix to be snapped?????

Was he drunk?

Is one of those hos his daughter???? No!

Anyway, last month, Bono and one of his musician buddies went down to St. Tropez in the south of France for some guy time.

While there, they hung out with 19-year olds Andrea Feick and Hannah Emerson.

Feick and Emerson decided to share with all their friends on Facebook the fun pix they snapped with their pal Bono.

The UK's Daily Mail caught wind of this and has shared the fun in the sun with all of us!

Yay!

The paper reached out to Feick and she told them she's known Bono for a few years and that their relationship has never crossed the friendship line, "No…God no!’ (she laughed) God no! He’s a friend of mine and that’s pretty much it. I’m not going to get into details, but it’s a small world."

A few years?!?!

Did she meet him while she was in middle school?

Oh, and check out the hat Andrea is wearing in the third pic.

Isn't that the same hat Bono was wearing at Disneyland?

TV Executive: Sarah Palin Could Be Bigger Than Oprah!

If Sarah Palin looses the November Vote, this not the last we have heard of her. There is no exact definition of a star, but she has star quality. TV execs and Hollywood agents are lining up to pitch the potential VP their ideas. Insiders are saying she has two options: One being the TV options, just look at her ratings. Two going back to Alaska and prep herself for a 2012 run. Whatever happens we have not heard the last of Sarah Palin.

Elisabeth Hasselbeck is campaigning with Sarah Palin this weekend

Staunch conservative Republican Elisabeth Hasselbeck got the call of her dreams this week when Sarah Palin called and asked her to join the VP candidate on the campaign trail in Florida this weekend. Hasselbeck was visibly excited when announcing her plans for the next few days on The View.

"Gov. Palin asked me to be with her this Sunday to introduce her at the rallies in Florida. I am more than honored to be there,” Hasselbeck said Thursday on the TV talk show. “I’ll have some stories, I’m sure, on Monday.”

Palin is scheduled to appear Sunday at campaign rallies in Tampa and Kissimmee, Fla.

Hasselbeck has worn her support for the Republican ticket proudly: Earlier this week, she appeared on the show in a T-shirt with the lettering: “Great AmeriMcCain Hero.”

Florida is a battleground state for the candidates, so I guess Palin thought she’d pull in the big guns for this weekend. While it sounds like I’m joking, The View has proven to be one of the most successful vehicles for publicity for both tickets this election year, aside from Saturday Night Live. People’s opinions about how the women on The View conduct their interviews are as varied as the party affiliations of viewers, but no matter your opinion it does provide an enormous amount of exposure for the candidates. Palin secures her name mentioned in every show next week by bringing Hasselbeck out to Florida, and getting people talking is what it’s all boiling down to in these last weeks.

As for Elisabeth, you know she is so excited she’s practically peeing her pants. Sarah Palin is who Elisabeth Hasselbeck wants to be when she grows up. Next week Hasselbeck is going to be feeling like her new best friend is going to be the Vice President of the United States and she’s barely going to be able to contain herself. It should make for some entertaining, or insufferable (depending how you feel about it) exchanges with her co-hosts on The View. Stay tuned!

Jennifer Hudson showed up to identify the bodies of her mother, Darnell, and brother Jason.

The Cook County Medical Examiner told us Jennifer Hudson showed up to identify the bodies of her mother, Darnell, and brother Jason.

It's "standard operating procedure" for a family member to do this, but that doesn't mean it's easy.

UPDATE: William Balfour is now under the custody of the Illinois Department of Corrections. Cops told us the IDOC have taken Balfour for breaking the terms of his parole.

The nature of the violations are unclear at the time, but we're told that although Balfour is in the custody of the IDOC, the "homicide investigation is still active and ongoing."

'High School Musical 3' graduates to the big time with $42 million

A gang of hyperactive New Mexico high school kids faced down a sadistic serial murderer at the movies this weekend and came out on top in a big way.

Disney's "High School Musical 3: Senior Year" -- the first installment of the 2-year-old franchise to graduate from cable TV -- recorded $42 million at the box office. The total gave it the best opening weekend ever for a movie musical, outpacing this summer's "Mamma Mia!" ($27.8 million) and last year's "Hairspray" ($27.5 million).

Lionsgate's " Saw V," the only place in America one can find more blood and gore than in the stock market, pulled in an estimated $30.5 million weekend gross. For the "Saw" franchise, that marks a record four sequels in a row to open at more than $30 million -- particularly noteworthy given that the movies have been scheduled very tightly, opening annually to tie into Halloween each year.

Amy Poehler gives birth (to 'a little baby Sean Penn'?)

Amy Poehler and husband Will Arnett welcomed their first child, son Archie Arnett, Saturday, her publicist confirms. "He is 8 lbs. 1 oz.," rep Lewis Kay said in a statement. "Amy, Will and Archie are all healthy and resting comfortably."

Seth Meyers, Poehler's coanchor on Saturday Night Live's "Weekend Update," broke the news to viewers, announcing that Poehler's chair was empty because she was "having a baby." Special guest Maya Rudolph and current cast member Kenan Thompson then serenaded Poehler with a custom rendition of "Can't Take My Eyes Off You."

Poehler is expected to leave SNL after this season to star in her own NBC sitcom. While SNL fans ponder whether the show can survive without her, fans of the 2007 film Blades of Glory, in which Poehler and Arnett costarred as a pairs figure skating team, might have an idea what the couple is wondering: Asked in one of the DVD bonus features (below, at three minutes) if they were ever to have a baby, would it be the funniest child in the world, they broke character, giggled, and gave a genuine answer:

Poehler: We think we might have the most unfunniest child.
Arnett: We have always imagined that we'd have a Sean Penn-like child.
Poehler: A little baby Sean Penn.
Arnett: Real brooding, Method-y actor.
Poehler: Smokin' all the time....I hope my baby doesn't smoke. I don't know what kind of baby we're gonna have. I really should get on this.

Then, the conversation turns naughty.

Jennifer Hudson- Sister Julia release of missing her son !!!

JENNIFER HUDSON- The Oscar winning actress (Dream Girls) and American Idol (Season 3) finalist suffered a horrific loss with the murder of her mother Darnell Hudson Donerson, 57, and brother Jason Hudson, 29,on Friday, October 24, 2008 in their South Side Chicago home.

Her young nephew, Julian King, age 7, is missing from the Hudson home where he lived and an Amber Alert has been issued.

IN THIS VIDEO- Jennifer sister Julia, mother of missing 7-year-old Julian King, emotionally makes a plea to his abductor to let him go. She tells her son via the TV news conference she will not stop looking for him.
THE MURDER SUSPECT WILLIAM BALFOUR is in police custody. Balfour is the husband of Jennifer's older sister Julia.

JENNIFER'S NEPHEW JULIAN KING IS STILL MISSING- It has been reported that Julian is Jennifer's sister's son, but NOT William Balfour's child.

Jennifer Hudson Family Tragedy-"Trouble in the Marriage"

The hunt for Jennifer Hudson's 7-year-old nephew continues to intensify. And we're told the operating theory among Chicago detectives is an "ongoing domestic dispute" between the suspect, William Balfour, and his estranged wife, Julia Hudson.

Chicago cops would not be more specific, other than to tells us there is an "underlying domestic aspect" to the investigation ... that there was "trouble in the marriage."

We're told cops continue to interview people, but no one other than Balfour is in custody. As for Balfour, so far no charges have been filed.

Chicago cops are now using flyers with Julian King's pic to find the missing boy.

The boy hasn't been seen since the bodies of Hudson's mother and brother were found Friday in her home in the South side of Chicago. The two had been shot to death.

The police will be handing out the flyers today all over Chicago, particularly on the South side.

Family Tragedy

Dreamgirl Jennifer Hudson's mother and another victim believed to be Jennifer's brother Jason were found shot to death in a South Side Chicago residence on Friday in what has been preliminarily labeled a domestic shooting. (Hudson's father died when Jennifer was a teenager.)

The Chicago Tribune reports that according to public records, the home is owned by Darnell Donerson, Hudson's mother. Hudson, has not been injured, said her bodyguard to the Tribune before referring to a publicist.

A Chicago police spokeswoman said a young boy, either 6 or 7, is missing. Police identified the child as Julian King, but would not say if he is a relative of the star. Police are on the lookout for a white 1994 Chevrolet Suburban with Illinois license plate No. X584859, missing from the home, and the missing child may be in the vehicle. A source says the actress' sister reported the boy missing from the home.

Police are looking for suspect William Balfour, who may have abducted Julian. Balfour is considered armed and dangerous.

Jennifer, 27, appeared on "American Idol" in 2004 and won an Oscar for "Dreamgirls" in 2006. Jennifer announced her engagement to reality star David Otunga last month.

Hudson appears in "The Secret Life of Bees," which opened last Friday, and her song "Spotlight" is at the top of Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop charts.

Suspect In Hudson Family Murders Arrested???

William Balfour, a suspect in the tragic murder case of Academy Award-winning actress Jennifer Hudson's mother and brother has been taken into custody, but his missing step-son, Julian King, the son of his estranged wife and Jennifer’s sister, Julia, was not with him, the Chicago Tribune reported.

While an Amber Alert remains in effect for the 7-year old boy, who was in the house with his grandmother and uncle at time of the shooting but was reported missing from the home by his mother, the FBI reportedly joined the police in the search for Jennifer's nephew. Police believe the stepfather may be behind his disappearance.

The FBI was called into the search because of the possibility that the boy was taken across state lines. Law enforcement sources told the newspaper that they were hoping to find Julian when they picked up Balfour but that the boy was not with him.
According to state records, Balfour, 27, was currently on parole after serving time for attempted murder and vehicular hijacking. He and Julia had been married for about two years, though they were apparently separated and headed for divorce.

The mother and brother of "American Idol" contestant Jennifer Hudson were found dead in their mother's house on the South Side of Chicago on Friday afternoon from multiple gunshot wounds. According to TMZ, the victims were found by Jennifer’s cousin who lives close to the house around 3:00 pm Chicago time.

The police confirmed that Hudson’s mother, Darnell Hudson Donerson, 57, was found shot in the head in the living room, and her 29-year-old son Jason Hudson, was shot to death in the chest in a bedroom. Police said there appeared to be defensive wounds on one of the victims, suggesting at least one of the shootings involved domestic violence. No signs of forced entry were registered at the house.

Balfour, who has been childhood friends with the Hudson family, reportedly has records that show he previously pleaded guilty in 1999 to attempted murder and vehicular hijacking, in which he served seven years behind bars, before being released in 2006.

Defending her son, Balfour's mother told the Chicago Tribune that her son and Julia were separated and that Donerson had thrown him out of the family home last winter. She also pleaded for the return of the missing child.

"Whoever has Jennifer Hudson's nephew or Julia Balfour's son, please, I'm begging you, me and my family are begging you to return that son," Michelle Davis-Balfour told CNN affiliate WLS.

Jennifer Hudson's missing nephew as police question brother-in-law over double murder

The FBI have been called in to hunt for the seven-year-old nephew of Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Hudson, a day after her mother and brother were found with multiple gunshot wounds at her Chicago home.

Hudson was said to be ‘numb’ last night after identifying their bodies at the mortuary.

The 27-year-old Dreamgirls star rushed from Los Angeles to her home town of Chicago when she heard of the double tragedy in the city’s notorious South Side.

Devastation: Jennifer and her mother Darnell, pictured at the 2007 Oscars, who has been shot dead at her Chicago home

Hudson's estranged brother-in-law William Balfour is currently being questioned by police as a suspect, but he has not been charged.

He was at first thought to have kidnapped his stepson Julian King, but the seven-year-old was not with him when he was found. Hudson is extremely close to Julian, who has the family nickname of Tugga Bear.

Detectives said the double murder was a 'domestic incident' that had got horribly out of control.

Tragic: Hudson's brother Jason (left) was found dead in his bedroom, while her nephew Julian King (right) is missing.

William Balfour is being questioned by police but has not been charged.

Neighbours reported hearing gunshots at 9am on Friday but ignored them because violent crime is so common in the area – which the singer had tried to persuade her mother to leave.

Deputy Chief Joseph Patterson said Hudson's cousin entered the home around 3pm and after finding Darnell on the living room floor left to fetch help.

Officers then found Hudson's mechanic brother Jason, 29, dead in the bedroom, Patterson said. There was no sign of forced entry.

Missing: A picture from Hudson's MySpace page shows her cuddling her nephew Julian and her pet dog Mr Payton

Darnell, 57, was shot in the head while Jason was shot in the chest. At least one of the victims had 'defensive wounds' police said, indicating that the shooting may have been a domestic incident.

Hudson's sister, school bus driver Julia, reported her son as missing after work on Friday.

Balfour married Julia in 2006, but his mother Michele Davis Balfour told the Chicago Sun-Times they have been experiencing problems in the last few weeks and were separated.

Close-knit: Hudson with her mother Darnell (C) and sister Julia (R), whose son Julian is missing

'I didn't raise no murderer,' Michele Balfour insisted. 'He was not a child abductor. They have the wrong person.'

Police confirmed they were speaking to 'a number of suspects' besides Balfour.

Records from the Illinois Department of Corrections show Balfour, 27, is on parole and spent nearly seven years in prison for attempted murder, vehicular hijacking and possessing a stolen vehicle.

Neighbours pray at a makeshift shrine outside the house where Hudson's family were slain

Detectives believe the killing might be the result of a row over Julia’s car, it was reported yesterday.

Balfour was accused of stealing the vehicle from her – and his estranged wife told neighbours he threatened to kill the family in the ensuing row.

In a post on her MySpace page, Julia said Jason was picking her up from her job because ‘William bitch’ had sold it.

Balfour’s own MySpace pages boasts of his connection with Jennifer. He says: ‘I might as well let you know that Jennifer Hudson is my wife’s sister ...but don’t hit me up ’bout that.’

Crime scene: Police are continuing to investigate the Hudson family home for clues

Hudson, whose father Samuel Simpson died when she was a teenager, has described herself as very close to her family.

In a recent interview she said her family, which included older siblings Julia and Jason, helped keep her grounded.

She said: 'My faith in God and my family, they're very realistic and very normal, they're not into the whole limelight kind of thing, so when I go home to Chicago that's just another place that's home.

'I stand in line with everybody else, or, when I go home to my mom I'm just Jennifer, (so she says), "You get up and you take care of your own stuff."

'And I love that; I don't like when people tell you everything you want to hear, I want to hear the truth, you know what I mean.'

Hudson shot to fame as a contestant on American Idol in 2004.

Last year, she won a Best Supporting Actress Oscar for her critically-acclaimed performance as Effie White in Dreamgirls, co-starring Beyonce Knowles and Eddie Murphy.

Following her performance as Carrie Bradshaw's assistant Louise in the Sex And The City Movie earlier this year, Hudson released her debut solo album three weeks ago.

Her single Spotlight is currently No.12 in the UK singles charts.

Last month, Hudson announced her engagement to boyfriend David Otunga.

Screen star: Hudson (R) won an Oscar for her performance in Dreamgirls alongside Beyonce Knowles (C) and Anika Noni Rose (L)

City girl: Hudson as Louise and Sarah Jessica Parker as Carrie Bradshaw in the Sex And The City movie

Jennifer Hudson's Mother Found Dead and Her nephew missing

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ Jennifer Hudson's mother was one of two victims shot and killed in Chicago earlier today.
A neighbor tells TMZ the other victim was Jennifer's brother Jason. A cousin who lived nearby discovered the bodies.
We're told the two bodies were found dead on the scene at 2:44 PM. When the fire department arrived and discovered the bodies, police were brought in and the home was declared a crime scene.
A call to Hudson's rep was not immediately returned.

An all points bulletin has been issued for a boy, believed to be Hudson's 7-year-old nephew (right), who may have been taken from the scene. Police are looking for 1994 white Suburban with the license plate X584859.

Police are looking for William Balfour (left), who they claim could be with the missing 7-year-old. According to records, Balfour listed Hudson's mother's address as a place of residence within the last year. According to the Illinois Department of Corrections website, Balfour is currently on parole after serving jail time for attempted murder.

Lost in all this is Jennifer's sister Julia, mother of the missing 7-year-old. We're told she works as a bus driver in Chicago. Her employer told us she worked her shift today. She hasn't been seen since.

A WBBM reporter is saying that neighbors have said a family member in the Hudson household apparently tried to steal a car a few weeks ago, an argument ensued, and he vowed revenge. A photo on Julia's MySpace page (bottom) posted prior to today's events alludes to some kind of dispute with William over a car.

'Star Trek's' William Shatner and George Takei's wedding squabble

It's a case of he said, he said in the ongoing celebrity feud between Star Trek stars William Shatner, aka Captain Kirk, and George Takei, aka Mr. Sulu.

Last week, Shatner posted the following video rant about being snubbed by not being invited to Takei's wedding in September to longtime partner Brad Altman. Other Trek co-stars were invited, and even Nichellle Nichols and Walter Koenig (Uhura and Chekov) were the maid of honor and best man, respectively.

In the video, Shatner plays armchair psychologist. "Poor man. There is such a sickness there," he says. "It's so patently obvious that there is a psychosis there ... I pity him."

The video seems never-ending, with Shatner expressing condescension for Takei for holding such an unfounded grudge for so many years. Even though Shatner is outraged by not being invited, at the same time he claims, "I literally don't know him ... He makes this big deal about not inviting me to his wedding ... There must be something else inside George that is festering and makes him so unhappy that he takes it out on me, in effect, a total stranger."

So wait, Takei should want to invite strangers to his wedding? I don't get it.

Apparently, neither does Takei, who in an Entertainment Tonight interview on Thursday is absolutely gobsmacked on two counts. First, he claims that he DID in fact invite Shatner to the wedding, but true to form, Shatner didn't RSVP since he doesn't attend any important event for his former Star Trek cohorts.

"Every time there was something happy to celebrate amongst us, whether it's getting a star on Hollywood Boulevard -- whether it's DeForest Kelley, Jimmy Doohan, Leonard Nimoy, Nichelle Nichols -- he never showed up," says Takei. "Even for [Star Trek creator] Gene Roddenberry. In fact, the most surprising thing was that he didn't show up for Gene Roddenberry's funeral."

Second, Takei expresses shock that Shatner claims they don't know each other and are essentially strangers. "We've done six movies together. We did three seasons of television together, we've been doing Star Trek conventions together for the last 40-plus years. Yes, I guess he doesn't know us."

The former Enterprise helmsman says the wedding invitation was another attempt to let bygones be bygones and that he'll continue to try and hold out the olive branch to Shatner. In fact, he invites Shatner to join him in the campaign against Proposition 8, an initiative measure in California that seeks to eliminate the right of same-sex couples to marry.

The mother and brother of the Oscar winning American singer-actress Jennifer Hudson were found murdered on Friday afternoon at the family's South Side home, the "Dreamgirls" star’s publicist has confirmed. Police identify suspect in Jennifer Hudson's mom, brother's murder

The publicist said that the singer's 57-year-old mother, Darnell Hudson Donnerson, and her 29-year-old brother, Jason S. Hudson, are dead after a fatal shooting at Donnerson's home in the Englewood neighborhood of Chicago.

In a statement, Hudson's personal publicist, Lisa Kasteler said, "We can confirm that there is an ongoing investigation concerning the deaths of Jennifer Hudson's mother, Darnell Donerson, and her brother, Jason Hudson," adding that "No further comment will be made and the family has asked that their privacy be respected at this difficult time."

Meanwhile, Sun-Times and the Chicago Tribune have cited police sources as saying that Chicago police authorities have nabbed a suspect in the double-homicide of Hudson's mother and brother. Police are still searching for Donnerson's grandchild, who is missing from the scene.

According to a report from the Sun Times, William Balfour, was romantically involved with the Hudson’s sister Julia, is the suspect in the double-homicide, and was taken into custody.

ulia has identified Balfour, 27, as her husband on her MySpace page. Julia's 7-year-old son, Julian King, was declared missing soon after the fatal incidence. Balfour was in custody Friday night, but the boy was not with him. Authorities have issued an Amber Alert for the missing boy.

"Currently we're looking for a 1994 white suburban vehicle that's missing from the location as well as a seven-year-old African-American child," said deputy chief Patterson.

Records from the Illinois Department of Corrections show Balfour is on parole from the Illinois River Correctional Center on attempted murder, carjacking and stolen-property charges, for which he has spent nearly seven years in prison.

Jennifer Hudson, the 27-year-old former American Idol contestant, recently got engaged to her boyfriend, David Otunga, better known as Punk from the VH1 reality show “I Love New York 2.”

Born on September 12, 1981 in Chicago, Illinois, Hudson is an Academy Award-winning American actress and singer, who first gained notice as one of the finalists on the third season of the FOX television series American Idol.

Her big screen debut in the 2006 film “Dreamgirls” made her a star and earned her the year's Academy Award as best actress. For Dreamgirls, an adaptation of the early '80s Tony award-winning Broadway hit” she won numerous other awards including an Oscar, a Golden Globe, a BAFTA, a SAG Award and two BET Awards.

In September 2007, Hudson started work on the Sex and the City film, as Carrie Bradshaw's assistant. She currently stars in The Secret Life of Bees.

Matt Lauer hit by funny bombs at Friars Club roast

Matt Lauer knew he'd be skewered at his Friars Club roast Friday at the Hilton - but when Tom Cruise showed up, he was toast.

The two famously argued over psychiatry and anti-depressants when Lauer interviewed the "War of the Worlds" star on the "Today" show in 2005.

So when Cruise bounded out of the audience, Lauer nearly fell off the dais.

"People know Matt and I had 'that little thing' a few years ago," the actor told the crowd, which included Brian Williams, Katie Couric, Donald Trump, Tiki Barber, Martha Stewart and Aretha Franklin, who sang the national anthem.

"You know, I was just taking his advice. He told me, 'Nobody wants to hear about your dopey movie. Go crazy. People will love you for it.'

"Matt's great at giving advice. When Katie asked him if she should leave the 'Today' show for CBS, he said, 'Absolutely, you should definitely do that. People will love you for it.'

"Jay Leno was No. 1, but Matt told [NBC exec] Jeff Zucker to cut his contract. 'You'll be ahead of the curve before his ratings go down and you'll look like a genius. People will love you for it.' Leno's ratings never went down.

"A few months ago, he was talking to O.J. Simpson and he said, 'Juice, those guys in Vegas have all your stuff. Don't be a p---y, just go there and take it. Trust me, Juice. People will love you for it.'"

As the audience crunched with laughter, Cruise presented a slideshow of Photoshopped pictures of the frenemies jetskiing, frolicking and cooking.

"Matt and I are so close now, that if we can't be together, we talk on the phone three, four times a day. I'll call him up and ask, 'Are you watching this?' And he'll just say 'yeah,' and we'll watch the whole show together on the phone.

"I have to hand it to you, my friend," Cruise went on. "I go from international movie set to movie set, from one amazing party to another, yet you have found happiness doing the same thing every single day. Sitting on a couch, interviewing Charles from 'Knight Rider,' making five-minute radish puffs with Rachael Ray.

"Yes, we all wake up to you every morning - because that was the last channel we had on the night before."

Cruise wasn't the only one who fried the popular NBC host: fellow "Today" staffers Al Roker and Meredith Vieira, anchors Williams and Couric, and professional hit men Richard Belzer and Jeffrey Ross all took their turns at the grill.

Like Joan of Arc, Lauer willingly put himself to the flames for the benefit of the Friars Club foundation, which benefits arts education, and a new journalism scholarship in memory of Tim Russert.

Lauer managed to get in the last jab.

As Cruise tried to cut out early, the 6-foot Lauer called out to the much-shorter Cruise, "Can't you stay, man? We can get you a booster seat."

Jennifer Hudson's mother and brother found dead

The mother and brother of Oscar-winning actress and singer Jennifer Hudson were gunned down in a home on the South Side of Chicago on Friday. Police confirm that they are investigating the deaths of Darnell Donerson, Hudson's 57-year-old mother, and Jason Hudson, her 29-year-old brother. Authorities are also searching for a 7-year-old boy, believed to be Hudson's nephew, who is missing from the scene.

Police told CNN that the bodies were discovered at about 3 p.m. Friday, when a relative found Donerson (pictured, with Hudson at the 2007 Academy Awards) shot to death on the living room floor of her home. When police arrived at the scene, they discovered the brother's dead body in a bedroom. Authorities have issued an Amber Alert for the missing boy, Julian King. The Chicago Tribune reports that a suspect was taken into custody Friday night, but the boy was not with him.

Hudson, a former American Idol contestant, is said to be on her way to Chicago; her representative has yet to make a statement.

Angelina Jolie talks about her wild days...?

Angelina Jolie is all settled down these days with six (SIX!!!!) kids, but it wasn’t too long ago that she was a little on the wild side. Here’s what she has to say about those days:
“I used to think I was unstable, because I had this thirst for something.

“I could never figure out what it was. I couldn’t sleep at night, and I always wanted to be somewhere else, and I have a window tattooed, this little box, and it’s because wherever I was, I wanted to be somewhere else. And I always saw myself - wherever I was in life - staring out the window.

“I knew little about the world, and I was completely self-absorbed. It was only when I came out of my shell and started taking care of others that I found the real Angelina.”

I know Angelina has her detractors, but I think a lot of her and her efforts to bring attention to those who need it most. It’s nice to see a celebrity using their famous status for something good.

Madonna to Guy: $5 million for the kids!

The custody battle between Madonna and Guy Ritchie is certainly getting nasty. The newest? Madonna has agreed to increase the lump sum cash payment he will get in their divorce from £15million to £20million if he backs down from a court battle over Lourdes, 12, Rocco, eight, and David Banda, three. Here’s more:

‘Basically she is offering a cash incentive to him to encourage an amicable out-of-court agreement over the children.. Madonna is keen to give Guy good access to the children - but on her terms,’ a source said.

‘Guy wants the children to be educated in Britain - especially his beloved Rocco - but his lawyers will be advising him that if Madonna moves to New York and wants the children with her, a judge is likely to agree.’Ritchie spent yesterday mulling over the offer with his lawyers.I think he should stick it out for half of as much as what she wants; she will make it impossible for him to see the kids if he gives in to her. What surprises me is why all the fighting? Why didn’t they have a prenup? You would think that people as rich as they are would have some kind of ironclad agreement written up beforehand, don’t you?

Sarah Palin, TV Star?

Word is out that Sarah Palin may be a TV star. You know, if the Vice President thing doesn't work out on November 4. She's already locked herself into the media with all the coverage she's getting on the campaign trail and at Saturday Night Live. Heck, we at Famecrawler love her, too. And according to the Hollywood Reporter, "producers and agents across the entertainment world" want Sarah to star in a daytime talk show, news program, or reality TV series.

Nobody has made her an offer yet. I'm sure they'll wait until after the election. It's McCain's sliding poll numbers that have producers frothing at the mouth, though. The favorite idea is a talk show similar to Oprah's. If not that, then a Sean Hannity-type news and opinion show. In third place is the reality show idea - sort of "The Osbournes meets Northern Exposure."

Now THAT I'd pay to see. The mother of 5 and her family might make for really good TV. The adorable moose hunting from a helicopter scenes alone would be priceless.

Travis McCoy Gushes About Katy Perry!

Gym Class Heroes rocker Travis McCoy gushed about his girlfriend Katy Perry during his DJ performance at RiNo nightclub last night in Chicago.

McCoy talked about how Perry, who perfromed at RiNo’s sister club Manor recently, loved performing at the nightclub and that he can’t wait to get back to his girl. McCoy said that he intended to leave Chicago early Saturday morning so he could get back to Perry in Los Angeles and be by her side to help her celebrate her 24th birthday which is on Saturday.

Aw! I’m sure he also wants to make sure she doesn’t kiss any girls at her celebration…or does he?

Miley Cyrus and Justin Gaston already living together

Miley Cyrus is said to be searching for her own apartment - but take that rumor with a giant hunk of salt.

The National Enquirer claims the 15-year-old tween mogul is already living with her 20-year-old boyfriend, Justin Gaston - in the Cyrus family home.
RELATED: TEEN STARS IN THE FAST LANE

Gaston, an underwear model from Louisiana, was a finalist on "Nashville Star" when he met Miley's father, Billy Ray. Now the Enquirer claims that Papa Cyrus and his wife Tish apparently approve of their daughter's new boytoy so much that they're happy to have the couple bunking with them at their California estate.

"Justin is the guy Miley's parents see her settling down with a few years down the line," a snitch tells the tabloid. “He's handsome, talented, clean-living, goes to church and knows his Bible - a real catch."

Miley, who split last year from Nick Jonas, recently gushed to radio host Ryan Seacrest about how happy she is, but wouldn't confirm that she and Gaston were an item.
PHOTOS: MILEY'S GOT THE LOOK

"Maybe, maybe not," Cyrus told Seacrest on air. "Right now, everything is, like, really good. I haven't really been answering the question much just because we're just really happy with everything and the way everything has worked out."

The Enquirer notes that, lest anything seem inappropriate, Gaston still keeps an apartment but spends most night at the Cyrus compound.

"Billy Ray wasn't born yesterday," a source close to the family tells the mag. "He figures the safest path to take is to keep Miley and Justin on a short leash - and under the same roof."

Review: 'High School Musical 3: Senior Year'

Some movies are simply considered "review proof." If movie critics were $5 umbrellas, "High School Musical 3: Senior Year" would be Hurricane Katrina.

There will simply be no stopping Troy, Gabriella, Sharpay, Ryan and the rest of the Disney Channel crew moving to the big screen, and making this Kenny Ortega-directed, Peter Barsocchini-scripted confection into one of the biggest attractions of the movie year. So why get in its way?

Fortunately, we don't have to: The third in what has become a true cultural phenomenon - not just monetarily, but in regards to how an entire generation will view the presumed-dead musical genre - "HSM3" is eminently watchable, occasionally very funny, and sweet enough to give you diabetes. Where it goes very right is in introducing new characters (and performers) who will enable Ortega and company to carry on the franchise, at least through "HSM4" - for which contracts already have been signed.

Ortega is a bit of an imp: The first shot we see is Troy ( Zac Efron) panting into the camera, clad in what looks like his underwear. But no: It's the big game, the score is tied and the Wildcats of East High - the only known basketball power that can do a song, a dance and a fast break all at the same time - will prevail. The bigger question: With Gabriella ( Vanessa Hudgens) going to Stanford, Troy going to the University of Albuquerque and Ryan (Lucas Grabeel) and sister Sharpay ( Ashley Tisdale) in line for Juilliard scholarships - how are we going to get the musical in "Musical"?

There are more than 20 songs in "HSM3," and while a lot are pabulum, there's ... well, there's a lot of it. The songs concern the ongoing romance between Troy and Gabriella, and the friendship of Troy and Chad (Corbin Bleu), whose duet, "The Boys Are Back," owes a big debt to "Thriller," just as the ghost of Peter Allen haunts Ryan's dance routine (Grabeel is the best thing in the film).

While Efron has really outgrown this sort of thing, and Hudgens' strong suit is smiling sweetly, it's the newcomers who shine: Playing the comedy twosome of Jimmie "Rocket Man" Zara and his sidekick, Donny Dion, are Matt Prokop and Justin Martin, both of whom seem destined for greatness. So does Jemma McKenzie-Brown, who plays the Eve Harrington role to Tisdale's Sharpay, injecting a little "All About Eve" into a movie that prefers to steal its best stuff from the vaults of vintage MGM.

Sarah Palin may have brighter future in Hollywood

As campaign managers for Sarah Palin plot last-minute tactics to get her elected, Hollywood bigwigs are convening strategy sessions of their own. Their goal: finding the ideal on-air vehicle for the vp candidate if and when she exits politics.

Love her or hate her -- there doesn't seem to be much middle ground with Palin -- the 44-year-old hockey mom has captured the public imagination in a way no politician has since, well, Barack Obama.

But as more and more polls cast doubt on the McCain-Palin ticket, producers and agents across the entertainment world are discussing possibilities for capitalizing on her fame, ranging from an Oprah-style syndicated talk show to a Sean Hannity-like perch in cable news or on radio.

"Any television person who sees the numbers when she appears on anything would say Sarah Palin would be great," said veteran morning-show producer Steve Friedman, citing the double-digit ratings gains her appearances on "Saturday Night Live" and "CBS Evening News" generated. "The passion she has on each side, love and hate, makes television people say, 'Wow, imagine the viewership.'"

Although none of the execs has -- at least as far as anyone is admitting -- made direct overtures to Palin, they are readying their battle plans if she decides to give up her day job.

Of course, even if the McCain-Palin ticket loses, the Tina Fey look-alike still has a job in politics for at least another two years as governor of Alaska. A spokesman for Palin did not return calls for comment.

But the candidate has undeniable onscreen charisma as her "SNL" performance proved last weekend. And though the Palin Express sometimes veers off the tracks -- as it did in her notorious interview with Katie Couric -- Americans enjoy celebrities as much for their contretemps as their talent.

Most industry insiders believe a talk show is the probable route for Palin. Although daytime syndication can be tough sledding, it would take a personality of her stature to break through the clutter, and her folksy red-state persona could be just the thing to connect with this female-skewing audience.

One producer/packager said he has held internal staff meetings about how to best parlay Palin's appeal and skills, with a daytime talk show the likely vehicle. "I see her less as a variety-show host like Ellen (DeGeneres) and more of a single-topic host like Tyra (Banks), or maybe what Jenny Jones used to be," said Chris Coelen, CEO of RDF USA, producer of "Wife Swap."

However, one syndie veteran who wished to remain anonymous believes Palin would not make an ideal candidate for talk show host or even court show judge.

"I would not put her on the air," the exec said. "I find her a little stiff, and her ability to read the room is not quite fully developed."

Cable news is another possibility, particularly Fox News Channel, if Palin wants to keep her conservative bona fides intact. There's a well-worn path between the Beltway and TV, from Pat Buchanan to recent presidential hopeful Mike Huckabee, who just began his own weekly series on Fox News.

A weekly cable news berth also could be a less demanding side gig to occupy while still in office in Alaska, though losing the election could dent her credibility among conservatives.

Eric Wattenberg, an agent at N.S. Bienstock, a New York-based firm that handles many news anchors, believes syndication is a safer bet. "I could see her getting more traction as an Oprah than as an Anderson Cooper," he said.

Some combination of talk and news could even be in the cards: One agent recommended that News Corp. should let her hone her chops for a few years on Fox News in anticipation of rolling out a broader-appealing talker over Fox-owned stations after 2010.

And then there are those who are thinking outside the box, as in reality television.

One producer floated the idea -- only half-joking -- of taking advantage of the curiosity surrounding the entire Palin clan and their Alaska setting and packaging "The Palins": Think "The Osbournes" meets "Northern Exposure."

Some skeptics point out that Palin will run into a major obstacle in trying to win over the kind of widespread support one needs to become a national television figure. She is, after all, a polarizing personality. But as with such media darlings as Howard Stern or Star Jones, polarization has its advantages. "She could have a Kathie Lee Gifford kind of thing," Wattenberg said. "You're either addicted to her because you love her or you just want to tune in to see if she'll do something stupid."

Another potential obstacle to Palin is that there will be execs in liberal-leaning Hollywood who might shut the door to her solely out of political distaste. "People pretend they don't feel that way, but they do," one agent said.

The question mark amid all this speculation is whether Palin has any interest in an entertainment career. There's little indication of that, unless you count the vp candidate sending a tape of herself to late-night host Craig Ferguson last year before anyone in the lower 48 had ever heard of Wasilla. For a segment on his "Late Late Show," Ferguson had been soliciting invitations from politicians to help him become a citizen. The host was impressed enough with the unknown Palin's screen presence that he put the video on the air, even commenting, "Is it just me, or do I get a naughty librarian vibe from her?"

Even if Palin opts to remain in politics, Hollywood likely will find some way to sink its claws into her.

Although Matt Damon's comparison of Palin's rise to "a really bad Disney movie" was meant as a dig, the point wasn't lost on a lot of execs: The narrative of Palin's life is highly conducive to a biopic -- one likely already in development; whether it's a big-screen "W."-style treatment or a smaller-scale approach for women's cable channel Lifetime remains to be seen.

Palin herself might not be able to wait until the end of her term to act on any showbiz ambitions.

IMG Worldwide agent Babette Perry noted what could be called the Sanjaya effect: Celebrities (like the "American Idol" also-ran) can go from household name to obscurity with the push of a remote. "You've got to strike while the iron is hot," Perry said. "People forget that today's story is tomorrow's afterthought."

Underwood sees new wax figure of herself in NY

Country music star Carrie Underwood now has a double.

Underwood visited Madame Tussauds in New York on Thursday to help unveil a wax figure of herself. The 25-year-old Checotah, Okla., native posed for pictures beside the likeness, which will be added to the museum's "VIP Room."

The wax figure depicts Underwood standing with her hands on her hips and wearing a short, sparkly pink dress, which she wore to the 2006 Country Music Association Awards show. Underwood received her first CMA female vocalist of the year award that year, and picked it up again in 2007.

Underwood donated a replica of the dress to Madame Tussauds. A team of wax artists worked on the Underwood likeness earlier this year after she modeled for it.

"It was mainly just a couple of people met us out on the road and like did a lot of measurements, a lot of picture taking," she told The Oklahoman. "I had to stand still for a long time while they did their thing."

SNL Thursday Bush, Palin, and McCain (Video)

Will Farrell and Tina Fey appeared together during the Thursday night special of Saturday Night Live in a very funny opening sketch. Farrell brought back his unforgettable George W. Bush impression and Tina Fey joined in with her spot on Sarah Palin.

Angelina & Brad getting married?!?!

Angelina Jolie says that her priorities have changed from career to motherhood since giving birth to twins in July.

“The kids are my priority, so it’s possible that from now on I will make fewer movies. I may even stop altogether,” Jolie tells the Italian edition of Vanity Fair. “I no longer have the ambition I had in my 20s.”

Jolie, 33, who spoke to the magazine while promoting her new movie Changeling, says that as she has had more children, she’s come into her own as a mother.

“In reality my life is a lot more chaotic and adventurous now. Brad [Pitt] and I pilot airplanes, we travel non-stop, we go to difficult places and we have chosen to do it taking all of the kids with us,” said the mother of six. “I feel a lot braver now than when I was an angry young woman.”

Of her past, she says, “I knew little about the world and I was completely self-absorbed. It was only when I came out of my shell and started taking care of others that I found the real Angelina.”

Jolie says her children have inherited her taste for globe-trotting.

“Sure I am still restless, but do you know that my kids are the same way? We were in France these last few months and after a while they started asking when we could get back on a plane.”

That curiosity about the world is a value she wants her kids to maintain throughout their lives. “I want them to be able to walk through a marketplace in Adis Ababa and not bat an eye, not think it is dirty and ugly, but that it just represents another part of the world and humanity.”

Asked if she plans to make an honest man out of Brad Pitt, the actress hints that they may end up tying the knot – under pressure from the kids.

“Usually people fall in love and everything revolves around the ritual of marriage, children are an afterthought. We did everything backwards,” says Jolie.

“But sooner or later it will be the kids who ask us [to get married]. You know, they see films and start asking questions. Such as, ‘Why are Shrek and Fiona married and you’re not?’

Anne Hathaway’s Ex-Boyfriend Sentenced to Prison

“Princess Diaries” star Anne Hathaway can finally put a negative chapter in her life behind her. Her ex-beau, businessman Raffaello Follieri, was sentenced to 4.5 years in prison Thursday for defrauding investors out of millions of dollars and will be deported to his native Italy at the conclusion of his incarceration.

Follieri had been using the ill-gotten money to fund a lavish lifestyle, including a posh Manhattan apartment he shared with Hathaway before their breakup earlier in the year. He falsely told clients he was authorized by the Vatican to broker the sale of church-owned properties at a substantial discount and sometimes traveled with clergymen to complete the façade.

Hathaway told W magazine in its October issue that she had been living with a friend since the split, which was precipitated by Follieri’s legal troubles, and that co-star Steve Carell was instrumental in helping her through the worst of the invasive media coverage as they traveled in support of “Get Smart.” Hathaway and Follieri dated for approximately four years.

Angelina Jolie vs. Jennifer Aniston at high drama

Before you get too concerned about Us Weekly's cover line, Angelina hasn't LITERALLY "stabbed Jen in the heart," it's a reference to that whole thing about how Angie finally admitted that, yes, she was in love with Brad before he was divorced. That little spark is a refreshing break from the reams of Madonna divorce drama. But claps to Star for its tag: "GUY BLASTS: She won't have sex & sleeps in a plastic bag!" Let's see what other sticky and sweet secrets lurk in the 'zines this week...

"I Kissed A Girl" singer Katy Perry dove into a giant cake at the Latin American MTV Video Music Awards in Guadalajara, Mexico. Wow! They only way she could get any more WILD is to slap Paris Hilton or wear a vial of someone's blood. And oh, wait, those things are already passé.

"Project Runway" winner Leanne Marshall taking her boyfriend and her prize money and moving from Oregon to New York, where she hopes to make waves. Literally, get it? Get it?? Moving on ...

When it was put to a vote, 87% of Us Weekly readers said that Katie Holmes should cease to design her own clothes (and certainly cease to market them). And I'm 87% sure it was her "All My Sons" opening night black lace/white satin Princess Jasmine outfit that put them over the edge.

Not only are Jen Aniston and John Mayer back together, says Star, but he has agreed to marry her and father her children. How did this happen? She performed a "naughty impersonation" of Marilyn Monroe in lingerie and fed him expensive tequila. Funny, that's exactly how Charlie Sheen coaxed a "yes" out of Brooke Mueller.

Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher have approached Michael Phelps about starring in a reality show, says Life & Style, which will be fine for his image as long as he doesn't spend all his time juggling multiple random girls and growing a goatee. Oh, wait.

When Miley Cyrus turns 16 next month, she wants to move out of her parents' house and into a luxury L.A. condo. She simply wants a place, sympathizes a Star source, "where she can have friends over to watch movies and eat popcorn and have her boyfriend, Justin Gaston, over." Okay, Mom and Dad? It's just a pad for friends, movies, popcorn, and my 20-year-old boyfriend! (Optional guilt trip: "I bet Taylor Momsen's parents would let HER have a condo!")

But maybe this is all a moot point, because Life & Style says papa Billy Ray already allows sleepovers with Gaston, and that Miley brags about them on the "Hannah Montana" set. "It was like she was bragging about having been up all night doing God knows what," sneers an insider. Um, praying, insider. She was up all night praying.

Miley's Older Boyfriend Justin Gaston

Age is just a number for 15-year-old Miley Cyrus and her 20-year-old beau, Justin Gaston.

"Everyone started judging us as soon as we started hanging out," she told Ryan Seacrest this morning on his KIIS-FM radio show.

"After my last two years, there's been a lot of things that happened. So I've learned just not to judge anyone and go into our friendship with an open mind and not really worry about the age or anything," Miley, who turns 16 on Nov. 23, continued.

"He's a really great Christian guy, which is awesome," she added about the underwear model.

But did she admit they're actually dating when she was grilled by Ryan?

"Maybe, maybe not," the Hannah Montana star giggled.

After Ryan said Justin was just too good-looking, Miley agreed. "That's what would be hard about dating him!" she said. "It's like, if anything ever happened, who are you gonna go to after that?"

As for when the young teen will be getting behind the wheel, Miley says she hasn't gotten around to actually getting her license.

"I'd like a car, but I've been too lazy to go take the stupid test," she fessed. So what kind of car will she be rolling in once she does get a license?

"I don't know right now, because my mom is being cheap. She's trying to get me in one of those Smart cars!" Miley complained. What she really wants is a Mercedes-Benz G-wagen.

Well, we are in a recession. But then again, it's safe to say the Disney teen queen can afford whatever car her little heart desires.

Alyson Hannigan to Be a Mother; Is Lily Pregnant, Too?

The actress and her husband, Buffy and Angel alum Alexis Denisof, are expecting their first child together next year, her rep tells TVGuide.com.
Hannigan and Denisof (who guested on Mother in Season 1) met on the set of Buffy the Vampire Slayer in 1999 and tied the knot five years ago.
Will the actress' pregnancy influence Lily and Marshall's storyline? After all, observant folk noticed in the 2009 flash-forward from last week's "Intervention" that Hannigan's Lily merely sniffed her $2,500 glass of scotch instead of drinking it. Asked to comment on Hannigan's news and what it might mean for the Eriksens, series cocreator Carter Bays tells TVGuide.com, "We are thrilled for Alyson and Alexis, and we know that they are going to be amazing parents. It's too early to say how this will impact the show going forward, although we may have to push the 'Lily wins a gold medal in gymnastics' storyline to next season." What's your take? Should Hannigan's pregnancy be written into the show? Do you want to see Lily and Marshall, aka Mr. and Mrs. Awesome, as parents? I do, if only to meet their son Totally and their daughter Freakin'.

Kim Stolz, Tyra Banks Call Truce, Reveal The Real Attitude-Challenged Reporter

Call off the troops and put away the bayonets. Today, a feud was ended, and a friendship commenced.

Tyra and I are kindred spirits again.

I have to admit, making the “elimination room” spoof was a blast. It made me feel exhilarated, renewed, refreshed and, yes, avenged in a certain manner. But such fleeting feelings were soon overtaken by a need to put down my arms, be the bigger (metaphorically speaking) person and make things right with TyTy once more.

I saw the new film she executive-produced, “The Clique,” as the perfect opportunity. So, pride and confidence in hand, I went to interview Tyra this morning with three goals in mind.

1. To call for a cease-fire
2. To find out if, after all, the photo shoot with Analeigh (theme: the reporter with an attitude) was, in fact, inspired by my antics at the Fiercee Awards.

3. To ask, if it wasn’t about me, who was Tyra talking about? Who deserves to take Naomi Campbell’s place?

Who is Tyra feuding with?

All three goals were completed. Take a look:

NYC cop movie 'Pride & Glory' is too implausible and Watch Full Trailer

Despite a gritty adherence to police culture that comes from director Gavin O'Connor's real-life father and especially several lived-in performances, the dirty-cop drama "Pride and Glory" overshoots the mark by spinning its implausible, hyperviolent tale around too tight a family circle.

After four NYPD cops are killed in a drug bust in Washington Heights, Officer Ray Tierney (Edward Norton) is assigned by his police chief father (Jon Voight) to the internal affairs force investigating the slaughter. But Ray has a progressively messy situation on his hands: The slain officers served under his older brother (Noah Emmerich), a precinct head, and alongside his flash-tempered brother-in-law Jimmy Egan (Colin Farrell).

As he digs deeper, Ray finds Jimmy is the center of a crew of bad apples who intimidate, rob and bully the neighborhood, and who are linked to a powerful drug dealer. Ray, who's been out of duty since he himself was caught under fire some years earlier, wants to do the right thing, but must first face down his dad's demands and his family's reputation.

O'Connor and his co-writer brother, Gregory O'Connor, clearly know the blue wall they write about. However, boiling their story down to a Shakespearean clump of clan loyalty doesn't serve the movie's grander ambitions. (And giving Emmerich's character a wife nobly suffering from cancer is simply piling on the tragedy.)

Though a certain amount of gruffness is expected in a movie like this, there are a few too many scenes of guys getting grabbed by the collar and pushed against a wall until they talk, and one moment with a newborn baby being threatened is simply hard to watch.

Norton again rises above his deep-thinking persona and wiry physical presence, as he did in "American History X," "Fight Club" and "25th Hour," to find a noirish heaviness (this movie was shot prior to summer's "The Incredible Hulk," which unfortunately reduced him to a cartoon's shadow).

And while Farrell's sneering black sheep and Voight's lion in winter are cliches for both this genre and the actors, Emmerich ("Little Children," "Miracle") plays his precinct chief's tortured moral score-keeping close to the vest. "Pride and Glory" could have used more of his kind of restraint.

50 Cent Wraps Up Custody Deal

There'll be no more kidding around for 50 Cent. At least, not in court.

The rapper and his former girlfriend, Shaniqua Tompkins, have reached a settlement in their ongoing and bitter custody dispute over 11-year-old son Marquise, announcing this morning they have managed to broker a visitation schedule outside of court, thus avoiding the burden of a high-profile trial.

"I'm happy it's actually done with," Fiddy told reporters outside the Suffolk Family Court of the deal, despite the fact that it grants him less visitation time with the boy than he originally sought.

During this morning's five-minute hearing, in which both the rapper and Thompson were present, but avoided eye or any other contact, lawyers disclosed that 50 Cent will see his son one weekend per month, one month in the summer and spend half his winter and spring breaks in his father's custody.

"I thank you guys for your cooperation," Suffolk Family Court Judge David Freundlich told the feuding duo in court. "It makes life very, very good for your child."

For her part, Thompson, who ignited the custody battle earlier this summer after accusing the rapper, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, of somehow masterminding the fire that destroyed the Long Island home she and her son were occupying, said the deal was a good step for the family.

"Despite my feelings for Mr. Jackson, that's Marquise's dad," she said. "I want him to have a positive relationship with his dad."

Meanwhile, Thompson and Jackson haven't necessarily seen the last of each other in court.

The Suffolk County Arson Squad is still investigating the destruction of the $2.4 million home. They have already questioned Fiddy, who owned the home and was attempting to evict his baby mama and son, over the blaze.

The rapper has long and adamantly maintained his innocence and in June filed a $20 million defamation suit against his ex over the public accusation.

Miley Cyrus Opens Up About Her Relationship With Justin Gaston

'We're just really happy with everything,' Disney star says of 20-year-old rumored boyfriend.

Miley Cyrus isn't confirming her relationship with 20-year-old underwear model and aspiring

musician Justin Gaston, but then again, she isn't exactly denying it either. "Maybe, maybe not," she said Thursday (October 23) on Ryan Seacrest's KIIS-FM radio show, when asked if they were an item. "Right now, everything is, like, really good. I haven't really been answering the question much just because we're just really happy with everything and the way everything has worked out.

"I'm totally gushing right now!" she added.

The 15-year-old admits that when the two started hanging out last month, she didn't appreciate everyone putting their two cents in about the relationship. "After my last two years, there's been a lot of things that happened, so I've learned just not to judge anyone and go into our friendship with an open mind and not really worry about the age or anything," she explained.

Despite the significant age difference, Cyrus said that the Cyrus and Gaston families aren't judging the pair, especially because Gaston works with her dad, Billy Ray Cyrus, who "thinks he's cool." She added, "Our families are like, 'Whatever happens, happens.' If he's nothing but a really good friend, that's awesome.

"More than anything, he's really helped me move on from a lot of things," she said. "He's a really great Christian guy. He's gone through stuff, and I've gone through stuff, and everyone goes through that. I think it's really awesome that we have that in common — that we can talk about it and that we can understand [each other]. ... He gets it."

The biggest issue that Cyrus sees when it comes to her maybe dating Gaston isn't the age difference or the speculation about their relationship — it's his good looks. "That's what would be hard about dating him!" she replied. "It's like, if [we ever broke up], who are you gonna go to after that?"

Oliver Stone's "W" Hits The Theatre

Oliver Stone’s new motion picture named W was received with various reactions. The movie presents President’s Bush life from his college days to the first years of presidency. People will get an inside peak into his early Yale days, then his struggle to hold on to a job, his drinking problem and his rise to success and out of his father’s shadow. This represents one of the movie’s most interesting parts - the way he is defined by his relationship with his father.

The movie stars Josh Brolin as President George W. Bush, Elizabeth Banks as Laura Bush, Ellen Burstyn as Barbara Bush, Sayed Badreya as Saddam Hussein, Richard Dreyfuss as Dick Cheney, Ioan Gruffudd as Tony Blair, Thandie Newton as Condoleezza Rice and Jeffrey Wright as Colin Powell.

The director talked to the Los Angeles Times and explained that from the start he had no intention of presenting Presiden Bush’s life in a Michael Moore-style and considered this approach much more appropriate. "(It) isn't an overly serious movie, but it is a serious subject. ... I see it as the strange unfolding of the American democracy as I have lived it."

Many appeared dissapointed with the project, as they believe that Mr. Bush is presented in a certain light which is far more favorable than it should have been. Still, the movie has its share of fans, as it does present some rather entertaining scenes.

The project began in May and was completed and released just as planned, before the country’s elections.

Duke lacrosse accuser pens memoir about case

The woman who prosecutors determined falsely accused three Duke lacrosse players of rape maintains in a new memoir that she was attacked, a claim that provoked an angry lawsuit threat from one player's family.

Crystal Mangum, who appeared publicly Thursday for the first time since making the allegations more than two years ago, says in her book being made available online Friday that she is not "looking forward to opening old wounds" but that she had to defend herself.

"Even as I try to move on with my life, I still find it necessary to take one more stand and fight," she writes in an excerpt of the book, "The Last Dance for Grace: The Crystal Mangum Story."

"I want to assert, without equivocation, that I was assaulted. Make of that what you will. You will decide what that means to you because the state of North Carolina saw fit not to look at all that happened the night I became infamous."

Mangum's remarks drew an immediate rebuke from attorneys, and the family of one exonerated player said they were considering a lawsuit. Jim Cooney, who represented player Reade Seligmann in the criminal case, said attorneys would review the contents of the book.

"For 2 1/2 years, this woman has attempted to destroy Reade's life," Cooney said. "We aim to put a stop to it."

Mangum told police that she was attacked at a March 2006 lacrosse team party where she was hired to perform as a stripper. After a disastrous local prosecution that eventually led to downfall of the district attorney, the state attorney general's office concluded there was no credible evidence an attack ever occurred.

The state's investigation found there was no DNA or medical evidence, or witness accounts, that confirmed Mangum's story. The inconsistencies in Mangum's account, the state found, "were so significant and so contrary to the evidence that the State had no credible evidence that an attack occurred in the house that night."

Mangum declined to answer questions about case details Thursday, including when asked directly whether Seligmann, Dave Evans and Collin Finnerty — the three cleared players — attacked her. Vincent Clark, co-author and publisher of the book, said repeatedly "the case is closed" and Mangum accepts the conclusions of state prosecutors.

"At this point, it doesn't really matter," she said. "What matters is for people to know my account of what happened and for all of us to learn from it."

Seligmann's father, Phil Seligmann, called Mangum's comments "simply a pathetic attempt to further her need to remain in the public eye at the expense of demonstrably innocent individuals."

"Her incoherent passages are not based on facts, but are quite simply false ramblings," Seligmann said in a statement. "She ignores all of the verifiable facts of the case.

"No crime of any kind took place involving Ms. Mangum or any member of the Duke men's lacrosse team. We are presently evaluating all available legal options. If Ms. Mangum and those associated with her continue to slander Reade, we will have no choice and will not hesitate to utilize these options."

An attorney who defended Evans in the criminal case also was quick to denounce Mangum's remarks, saying her allegation hurt the accused players, the state and all women who have been victims of sexual assault.

"If Crystal Mangum truly wants to heal, get on with her life and have others learn from her experiences, she would admit her lies and the damage they did," Joseph Cheshire said in an e-mail. "The fact that she will not do that makes all of her motives and self-possessed desire to explain herself another lie. This is about money and lies. Pure and simple."

Seligmann, Finnerty and Evans filed a federal civil rights lawsuit last year accusing Nifong, the city of Durham, police investigators and others of conducting "one of the most chilling episodes of premeditated police, prosecutorial and scientific misconduct in modern American history." But they have never named Mangum as a defendant in any legal action.

The Associated Press had not previously identified Mangum per its policy of not identifying people who say they are victims of sexual assault, even after public statements clearing the players. The AP decided to name Mangum once she came out publicly on her own.

Mangum's version of the alleged assault varied in the number of assailants, and whether she was ever assaulted at all. At one point, state prosecutors noted, she said that photos taken at the party that contradicted her story were altered.

The biggest change in her account came in December 2006, when Mangum told an investigator for former Durham County District Attorney Mike Nifong that she could no longer be sure the attackers had raped her.

Nifong then dropped the rape charge against Seligmann, Finnerty and Evans, leaving kidnapping and sexual offense charges in place. The case continued to unravel, and state Attorney General Roy Cooper eventually declared the players innocent victims of a "tragic rush to accuse" in April 2007.

Nifong was later disbarred for more than two dozen violations of the bar's rules of professional conduct in his handling of the case. He ultimately spent one night in jail for lying to a judge.

Noelle Talley, a spokeswoman for the attorney general's office, declined to comment on Mangum's remarks, as did Candy Clark, an administrative assistant in the Durham County district attorney's office, and Kevin Finnerty, Collin's father.

Seligmann and Finnerty have since transferred from Duke. Evans graduated the day before he was indicted in May 2006.

Anne Hathaway is in love again....

"This guy I know in L.A. is kind of doing it for me right now," the actress Anne Hathaway told PEOPLE magazine at the London premiere of her newest movie, "Rachel Getting Married." "When I think of sexy, I think of him."

"You know when sometimes you don't know someone very well - you'll probably never see them again -but you just meet them and you're like ‘WOW, you really have it going on. I'm totally single right now," said Hathaway. "But I happened to meet a sexy guy the other day." If you did not know, her ex, Raffaello Follieri, is in jail. Star Alyson Hannigan is Pregnant

It looks like we'll be adding one more actress to the recent baby bump brigade. Following the rampant rumors of Jennifer Aniston and Jamie Lynn Spears' pregnancies, People.com reported this morning that Alyson Hannigan is pregnant. Alyson, 34, and husband Alexis Denisof, 42, announced that they are expecting their first child this spring.
Currently, Alyson Hannigan stars as Lily Aldrin on the hit sitcom How I Met Your Mother. Jason Segel plays her TV husband, Marshall Erikson. I consider Lily and Marshall television's best couple and Hannigan's pregnancy might mean a pregnancy for Lily. In general, I'm not a fan of babies on TV, but Lily and Marshall have always wanted to start a family. I'm really not sure how I feel about it. I'm like Natalie Imbrulia: Torn. There's no news yet on how Hannigan's pregnancy might affect the fourth season.
Hannigan is probably best known for her role as Michelle Flaherty from the American Pie series. Her famous line “This one time, at band camp” launched her into stardom in 1999.
Television enthusiasts know her best as Willow Rosenberg, Buffy's best friend and integral member of the Scooby Gang on Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Hannigan actually met her husband, Alexis Denisof in 1999 on the set of Buffy. Denisof played the role of recurring character Wesley Wyndam-Price in the show's third season. He later went on to play the same role on the Buffy spin-off, Angel.
Evidently, Hannigan asked Denisof out on the set of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, shortly after they first met, and Denisof declined. He had a personal rule against dating coworkers. The two remained friends and eventually dated. During winter break of 2002, the two were heading up to Seattle to spend the holidays with Denisof's family. On their road trip, they stopped in Napa Valley to go wine tasting and Denisof couldn't wait any longer. While the two were having a romantic picnic at a lake, he proposed.
Alyson Hannigan and Alexis Denisof were married in October of 2003, four years after they met. Their wedding was featured in the February 2004 issue of In Style magazine.

Lindsay Lohan sued over july 2007 DUI car chase

The starlet is now being sued by three male passengers who were in the SUV she was driving at the time of her DUI arrest last summer.
Ronnie Blake, Jakon Sutter and Dante Nigro filed a suit with Santa Monica Superior Court last week saying they "felt surprise, shock, fear and panic at Lohan's surprising and sudden act" when she took off in the SUV in pursuit of another vehicle.
The three plaintiffs are seeking unspecified damages from Lohan, 22, who they say was "angry and aggressive" when she commandeered the vehicle in Santa Monica, although they were not physically injured during the July 2007 chase.
According to the lawsuit, "Dante and Jakon continued to implore Lohan to slow down, stating specifically that she was endangering all of their lives and that they could be killed. Lohan refused to slow or stop, but instead responded with abusive cursing and vulgar language, including a statement that she did not care about the risk of death."
Lohan's attorney, Ed McPherson has slammed the lawsuit as "absurd."

"These guys had the night of their lives, playing with the radio and leaving the vehicle at one point and getting back in," he told TMZ.com.

Lohan reached a plea deal after her DUI arrest, pleading guilty to being under the influence of cocaine and also to an earlier drunken driving arrest which resulted in her entering rehab and spending just 84 minutes in jail.

The troubled actress is also being sued for emotional distress by the female passenger of the car she was alleged to have chased on the night of her arrest.

Guy's Got A New Piece...this is Guy's New Gal !?

Vadge isn't the only bitch getting her no-nut area licked by a hot piece. UsWeekly (via P6) claims Guy Ritchie is making sweet sexy times to actress-type Kelly Reilly. It must be a nice change for Guy to touch a chocha without it biting his hand. It also must be pleasant to be hugged by someone without worrying about the circulation to your brain getting cut off.

Guy is currently directing Kelly in that Sherlock Holmes movie with Robert Downey Jr. Kelly is a nice change for Guy. She doesn't really look like gristle, which is a good thing. She looks more like a crispy piece of delicious chicken skin.

Speaking of gristle, The Sun claims this December will be extra-roidy for Vadge. A source said,"She and Alex are definitely aiming to get together before Christmas."

How sweet. Vadge will have a shiny new pair of nuts to hang from her Christmas tree. Wait. Do Kabbalah people have Christmas trees? Okay, from her Menorah. Wait. Do they have those? Okay, from her rearview window. Wait. Does she drive her own car? FUCK! You know what I mean!

Spears spared criminal record with Video !!!

Is this girl lucky or what? Yesterday, a judge declared a mistrial in Britney Spears' driving-without-a-license case, sparing the pop star a criminal record, reports The Associated Press. How she's managed thus far not to have one is, quite frankly, beyond us.

Even after Los Angeles Superior Court Judge James Steele permitted prosecution and defense attorneys to make additional closing arguments Tuesday morning, the jury's deadlock couldn't be broken.

The jury's final vote was 10-2 in favor of acquittal. A city prosecutor didn't immediately indicate whether a retrial would be sought, but a later hearing was scheduled to determine whether the case would be pursued.

The jury posed a series of questions. Among them, "Why was she stopped in the first place?" Interestingly, there wasn't a real traffic stop that precipitated the case; Spears was cited for hit-and-run and driving without a valid California license later, after video of the accident surfaced. Defense argued that Spears didn't meet the state's residency requirements, and that her Louisiana license was sufficient for her to drive legally.

After a series of horrendous public meltdowns, it seems that the pop tart's priority of late is on her music career. Thankfully.

he other three young women face similar charges; all were released on Sunday after posting bond.

Rumor Control:Zac Efron NOT in Pirates

This past week, a story that originated in “The National Enquirer” began picking up steam across the net, finding its way into British tabloids by the truckload: 21-year-old “High School Musical” star Zac Efron was set to star in “Pirates of the Caribbean 4” alongside Johnny Depp.

It all made too much sense: Efron was a Disney star, “Pirates” was a Disney franchise. Efron was leaving “HSM,” Disney didn’t want him out of their grasp. And, I mean, if you can’t trust “The National Enquirer” and British tabloids, who could you trust? Well, as it “surprisingly” turns out…them.

Speaking to MTV News, Efron was adamant that the talk of his voyaging through the Caribbean was nothing more than a rumor. “No one has talked to me about it,” the “High School Musical 3” star insisted. “I didn’t even know [about it].”

That said, of course, the winking machine couldn’t help but smile at the possibility, telling us that just to be mentioned for a role was “awesome.”

“I didn’t know anything about that,” he said. “[But] cross your fingers for me guys!”

Although a foregone conclusion, a fourth “Pirates” was officially confirmed last month at a Disney presentation. Co-star Geoffrey Rush told MTV News last year that he thought it would follow Jack Sparrow and Captain Barbossa’s quest for the Fountain of Youth.

Tim McGraw writes book for fathers & daughters

Tim McGraw and Faith Hill have always struck me as pretty devoted parents as well as partners. While it seems like there’s a lot of famous moms writing books and chatting up magazines about their kids, McGraw has written a touching book about dads and daughters called My Little Girl. He and Hill have three daughters together, so he certainly knows about the relationship between fathers and daughters.
"As the father of three girls, Tim McGraw understands the challenges that face dads who want to please their daughters. So the children’s book he’s co-written with Tom Douglas has some simple advice: As long as you’re spending time with them, it doesn’t really matter what you do.

“My Little Girl,” to be published Tuesday by Thomas Nelson, tells the story of a father — in a dark cowboy hat, of course — who spends a fun day with his little girl Katie doing … nothing in particular. They stop by the farm co-op, gaze up at the clouds and play on a tire swing. The 41-year-old country singer said he enjoys spending time with his daughters — ages 11, 10 and 6 — but if he did what they liked doing, he’d be spending a lot of time shopping at the mall or getting pedicures.
“It’s something that as a father you kind of have to sacrifice what you want to do, because boys do what you want to do. If I want to go to the farm and shoot guns or ride four-wheelers in the mud when it’s 40 degrees … the girls aren’t really interested in doing that,” he said. But McGraw said he’s found that his daughters like coming along while he does simple, everyday stuff, like running to the grocery store or stopping by the office.

“Do what you have to do in your regular routine and take them with you. It makes all the difference in the world,” he said. McGraw’s wife, Faith Hill, wrote in the forward: “I hope this story provides quality time for fathers and daughters to enjoy each other’s company and make memories reading together.”
I think that’s a really sweet message. A lot of fathers don’t seem to realize the role they play in their daughter’s lives. Not just in the present, but that they teach their daughters how they should be treated. Showing them that they’re worth your time and effort, whether it’s doing ordinary things together like the characters in the book, or reading the book together, shows kids that they matter and they’re worth making time for.

Being a celebrity mom is so trendy these days. People keep tabs on women’s pregnancies and report on every little detail of diaper duty. Hopefully books like McGraw’s will show how important it is to be a good dad too, and give it its proper importance.

Anne Hathaway Gets Past Ex With 'Sexy' Mystery Man

Anne Hathaway told Access Hollywood earlier this month, "I'm ready to move on" from ex-boyfriend Raffaello Follieri, who plead guilty to 14 counts of conspiracy, wire fraud and money laundering in September -- and it appears the actress has kept her word and found a lucky Los Angeles man that she fancies.
"This guy I know in LA is kind of doing it for me right now... When I think of sexy, I think of him," Anne told People at the "Rachel Getting Married" premiere in London on Monday night.
"You know when sometimes you don't know someone very well - you'll probably never see them again - but you just meet them and you're like 'WOW, you really have it going on?'"
Though Anne has found a new object of affection, she said she is still on the market.
"I'm totally single right now," she said of the unnamed mystery man. "But I happened to meet a sexy guy the other day."
Anne might be keeping mum on the identity of the new man in her life, but the actress is willing to talk about how excited she is to be working with another new guy in her life -- Johnny Depp.
"I hope I don't faint. I'm wearing a corset which is difficult enough, but then to have to wear a corset and be short-breathed around Johnny Depp?" the actress, who is starring with Depp in Tim Burton's upcoming "Alice in Wonderland," told the mag.
If Anne should succumb to either costume or Johnny Depp-related fainting, it appears she'll have a plethora of people to help her back on her feet.

"I have so many people coming out of the woodwork who really have never wanted to visit me on the set before just want to kind of come and hang out," she said. "Everyone just wants to meet Johnny."

"It might be my hardest role to date - to keep my cool," she added.

Madonna will stay in Britain after divorce with Guy

So the divorce proceedings between Madonna and Guy Ritchie is heating up, with most of the sniping coming from Madge’s camp. Guy is actually behaving like quite the gentleman, while every day I’m reading something new from Madonna or her publicity people about how awful everything has been.

Anyway, Madonna has announced that she has no plans to move completely out of London after the divorce, although there have been rumors to the contrary. The kids - Lourdes, Rocco, and David - are all settled there, and she’s got a ton of property there, and anyway, what would she do with her wonderful fake English accent?

Paris Hilton Runs for "Fake" President in New Music Video

Paris is getting political again.

On Sunday, the heiress will debut a new music video, in which she runs for "fake" president.

The spot -- which she taped in Los Angeles on Oct. 3 -- will premiere on SwagHouseMedia.com.

What if she really were commander-in-chief?

"I'd get jobs for people so we can get the economy back on track," she said Tuesday on Ryan Seacrest's KIIS-FM radio show. Look back at Paris Hilton and other stars' first times on the red carpet.

Hilton got looped into the election after John McCain negatively compared Barack Obama to her in a campaign ad.

After taping a rebuttal in a FunnyOrDie clip, she recently shot another spoof, appearing alongside with "one of the greatest fake presidents," Martin Sheen, who played President Bartlet on The West Wing, as she herself declared she was running for "fake president."

X Files’ Gillian Anderson Welcomes Her Second Son

Gillian Anderson and her boyfriend, Mark Griffiths, welcomed their second son in London last week. Felix Griffiths was born on October 15 and joins the couple's one-year old son, Oscar.

Tina Fey: Sarah Palin Is Much Better Looking Than Me!

Tina Fey says at first she didn't see much of her own resemblance to Sarah Palin, but later admitted there was "a little," and now believes the VP candidate is actually much better looking, TV Guide reports.

"When I first saw her (Palin), I didn't think we looked alike at all," Fey, 38, tells the latest issue of TV Guide, which hits newsstands October 23. "Then during the convention, I started to think, 'OK, maybe a little.'"

Despite propelling "Saturday Night Live" to ratings success after her appearances on the show in recent weeks, the "30 Rock" creator and actress says she still doesn't feel she has mastered the impression of the famous hockey mom turned politician.

"I expected people to be like, 'Ahhh, we thought it'd be better than that.' I stand by the pieces as both fair and quite gentle…We glue my ears down. That's one of the tricks," Fey tells the magazine.

"I'll tell you, that lady is five times better-looking than I am. She's 44? She's got none of that droopy s---. She's keeping it tight!"

Together Again!!! Criss and Holly Sitting In a Tree

They are sooooo together!

Sin City sources reveal exclusively to PerezHilton.com that Hugh Hefner's ex-girlfriend, Holly Madison, and magician Criss Angel were super touchy feely Monday night at lounge CatHouse at the Luxor Hotel, where the illusionist has hew new Cirque show.

"They were completely enamored by each other as they kissed and held hands," a top-notch spywitness tells us.

Sorry, Hef, but anyone non-retirement age is an improvement for Holly!

Who's Hotter? Tina Fey vs. Sarah Palin

Sure, Tina Fey bears an uncanny resemblance to Sarah Palin, and yes, her impersonation of the V.P. hopeful on Saturday Night Live is spot-on, but that doesn't mean she necessarily thinks she's as pretty as the Alaska governor.

"I'll tell you, that lady is five times better-looking than I am," Fey says in the latest issue of TV Guide. "She's 44? She's got none of that droopy s--t. She's keeping it tight!"

Even 30 Rock costar Alec Baldwin seemed to share Fey's feelings when he told Palin on last weekend's SNL, "You are way hotter in person. Seriously, I can't believe they let her [Fey] play you."

Granted, it was just a skit in which Baldwin was trying to save face after he "mistook" Palin for Fey, but his remark, coupled with Fey's comparison, got us thinking about who actually might be more attractive.

So do you agree with Fey's assessment of her appearance, or does she make the maverick's running mate look good? Comment away.

The Beckham's Spicy Marriage Secret

How do the Beckhams keep their marriage strong and spicy? They use role-play to keep things interesting.
Monday nights are "date" for the couple and they typically head out separately and meet up later. They head out to a local nightspot with friends, sign up for a duet together and act like they've never met before the moment they get up to sing. "They enjoy pretending they are meeting for the first time. It seems as though they haven't got a care in the world."
That's so cute, it must be nice to have a regular babysitter every week.

Nick Hogan Released From Jail After Serving 166 Days

Six months after going to jail following his no-contest plea on a reckless driving charge, Nick Bollea (a.k.a. Nick Hogan), son of Hulk Hogan, was released from jail early Tuesday morning (October 21). According to the Tampa Tribune, the 18-year-old Bollea raced into the arms of his sister, Brooke Hogan, upon his release from Pinellas County Jail, where he served 166 days of an eight-month sentence in connection with an August 2007 street racing crash that severely injured Bollea's friend, John Graziano.

Bollea, who was released early for good behavior, walked out of Pinellas County Jail at 12:30 a.m. and did not speak to photographers before getting into a sport utility vehicle and heading home. His mother, Linda Bollea, released a statement Tuesday morning asking the media to respect the family's privacy.

"This is our time as a family to come together to support Nick's adjustment back into the public life, keeping it as normal as possible," she said. "Neither Nick, nor we as a family, has any interest in making this anything but private. We respect the media's role and only ask that they respect our privacy. Nick went into prison as a juvenile and has experienced something that will mold and affect him for the rest of his adult life. His focus is to make a positive difference in this world, media-free. Since his future actions will speak louder than any words, there is no need to speak to the media at this time."

Bollea landed in jail after an August 2007 incident in which he lost control of his father's Toyota Supra while street racing in Clearwater, Florida, resulting in severe injuries to Graziano. Former Marine Graziano, who police said was not wearing a seatbelt, remains hospitalized and will need medical care for the rest of his life, according to the Tribune. Graziano's guardian sued the Bolleas in March for alleged negligence leading to the crash, and recent mediation attempts in the case have reportedly failed.

Bollea, a veteran of his father's "Hogan Knows Best" show on VH1, had said in jail that he wanted to star in his own reality show after release, an idea Graziano's lawyer, George Tragos, felt was exploitative.

"It's awful Nick is going to get a reality show because he went to jail because of the permanent harm he caused another human being," Tragos said, according to the Tribune.

Britney Spears’ Teary Night

Still hot on the trail of a major comeback, Britney Spears was spotted looking teary as she left a Hollywood, California dance studio last night (October 20).

The “Womanizer” songstress looked a bit distressed as she made her way outside, sporting a black jacket, multicolored tank top, black workout pants, and white sneakers, hiding her crying eyes behind black sunglasses.

As for her current court case for driving without a valid California license, it seems the jury is deadlocked after a second day of deliberation.

The jury foreman indicated to press that after three votes, they had failed to come to a unanimous conclusion. He reportedly told the judge, “I think with each return to the assembly room, people become more entrenched in their position.”

Arkansas TV anchor attacked in home

A popular television anchorwoman who had a small part in the President Bush biopic “W” was in critical condition Monday after being beaten in her home. Police questioned whether she could have been targeted for attack.

KATV anchor Anne Pressly, 26, was found Monday at 4:30 a.m.—a half-hour before she was due to appear on the station’s “Daybreak” program. Pressly’s mother went to the anchorwoman’s house when she didn’t answer a wake-up call, Little Rock police spokeswoman Cassandra Davis said.

Pressly was in her bed and was unresponsive and a police report noted that she was bleeding from the head. Davis described the injuries as “severe wounds” and that Pressly was stabbed. KATV—citing investigators —later reported that all injuries were from blunt force trauma to the head and upper body. The anchorwoman’s purse was missing and police said Pressly may have been beaten during a robbery. Asked whether Pressly may have been targeted because of her job, Davis said officers were talking to her co-workers to determine whether she “has had any problems.” Davis would not discuss specifics of what the investigation revealed.

In a statement, KATV president and general manager Dale Nicholson said the anchor “is a person who simply lights up the room, by just walking in.”

The last known contact with Pressly was between 9:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Sunday. Davis said Pressly’s mother regularly gives her daughter a wake-up call and went to the home in Little Rock’s Pulaski Heights neighborhood when Pressly didn’t answer.

Pressly is a native of Greenville, S.C., and moved with her family to Little Rock while she was in high school. She is a graduate of Rhodes College in Memphis, Tenn.

'Max Payne' outguns box-office competition

The film based on a video game pulls in $18 million. 'Beverly Hills Chihuahua' is second with $11.2 million.

"Max Payne," the film adaptation of a popular video game, set the high score over the weekend with $18 million in ticket sales, according to studio estimates.

The PG-13-rated thriller gave 20th Century Fox its first No. 1 launch in seven months. The opening-night crowd was heavily male and young, matching the video game demographic. Males constituted 65% of the Friday audience, according to exit polling the studio conducted, and females accounted for 35%.

"Beverly Hills Chihuahua," taking in $11.2 million in its third week, and "The Secret Life of Bees," making $11.1 million, were second and third, respectively, in sales.

A strong turnout by liberals, meanwhile, put "W.," the biography of President Bush, in fourth place, with $10.6 million in sales. Studio polls showed 55% of the audience called themselves liberals and 31% identified themselves as moderates. Only 14% of the audience said they were conservative.

While drawing more liberals than conservatives, the film was released across the country in diverse markets. "Attendance was strong in both red and blue states," said Steve Rothenberg, president of domestic distribution for the film's distributor, Lionsgate.

Filling a gap in films marketed to women, "The Secret Life of Bees" beat expectations, said Steve Gilula, co-chief operating officer of distributor Fox Searchlight. "It was fabulous. It only cost $11 million to make. To gross the budget the first weekend is just terrific," he said.

The PG-13-rated adaptation of the novel of the same name stars Dakota Fanning, Queen Latifah, Jennifer Hudson, Alicia Keys and Sophie Okonedo. Its weekend sales appear to validate the distributor's view that the film's appeal would reach beyond African Americans.

Final weekend box-office figures come out today.

'Dancing With the Stars': Swingtown

I wonder if, a few years ago, Warren Sapp could have imagined that a sexy Australian dancer babe would one day chirp at him to ''Do the hustle!'' — you know, instead of a gnarly coaching staff barking gruffly at him in unison to, like, literally hustle. I bet he'd have retired a lot sooner. Last night, Dancing With the Stars introduced four new dances — the hustle, the West Coast Swing, the salsa, and the jitterbug — to the ballroom. DANCMSTR Len Goodman had warned us last week that the judges would be emphasizing performance over technique. That was nice for them, but with only a half-baked explanation of the new dances from DANCMSTR, involving the footwork-unspecific terms ''oooooooooooh'' and ''zowie wowie,'' we viewers didn't really know what we were looking at, or for, with these performances. (Then again, honestly…do we ever?)

Speaking of things that are baked, George Hamilton popped up in the audience, as ''sun''-kissed as ever. I hope he shared his Baked Ritz crackers with bench-bound Misty and fellow season 2 alum Stacy Keibler. In my mind, Stacy's consistently strong performances and irresistibly long inseam still beat out those of this season's judges' favorite, Brooke Burke — but as Brooke is now the high scorer for the fifth week running, things could change. Let's get to that ''leader board,'' shall we?

Brooke Burke and Derek: 29 out of possible 30 Uh oh! The Hough siblings had to dance the jitterbug against each other, and neither blond bomb knew how to do it! This is so whack: Lacey got to consult with her champion parent for the West Coast Swing, while Derek had to print out ''How to Dance the Jitterbug'' from the Internet. That's, like, something I would do. And Derek and I aren't exactly on the same ''dance level.'' (It's okay. I bet I'm better at using the Internet. Here's one of my genius tips: Try watching a video of the dance instead.) Their jitterbug turned out fine — it was ''vigorous,'' and ''upbeat,'' ''glamorous,'' ''perfect,'' ''amazing,'' and plenty of other adjectives that the judges typically substitute for complete sentences when they're running out of time. So let's talk hair. Brooke's clip-on bangs were about as shocking as Brooke gets, but Derek's increasingly floppy 'do (which boasted the Zac Efron half-pony during rehearsal, along with a bevy of other methods of keeping that mop out of his face) was in rare form last night, featuring delicate curlicues shellacked into a mold that Tom correctly labeled ''a sanctuary for birds.'' And, apparently, Cloris Leachman's saliva.

Cody Linley and Julianne: 28/30 Who needs the fake Internet (seriously, Derek's printout was such a Word document written by a producer) when you can just spy on your brother for the answers? Julianne and Cody's jitterbug rivaled Brooke and Derek's in energy, but in terms of charisma, this one blew Brooke out of the...brook. As the judges pointed out, the slapstick nature of the dance worked for Cody, with his endless limbs and endearing (in this case) awkwardness. I'm sure I'm not the only one who noticed the crotch-in-the-face move first not-perfected by Marie Osmond and Jonathan in their season 5 ''doll dance'' freestyle. Julianne and Cody played up the crotch theme throughout, to the point where my esteemed colleague Tim Stack, who was supposed to be across the hall writing his Gossip Girl recap, commented, ''This whole routine, I feel, is about her vagina.'' (There you have it: A sentence I would never type into my own recap, but totally just did.) Side note, and also an antidote to Tim: What did you think of Julianne's choice of footwear? I personally loved that Brooke and Julianne didn't have to wear heels for once, but then I received a detailed rundown of the show from my mother, arguing that Julianne was ''adorable, but I wish her skirt was a tad shorter and that she'd worn Mary Janes with a little heel instead of flat like that.'' Whatever, Dee.

'DWTS' Shannon Elizabeth Brooke Burke injured, taken to hospital!

You'd think dancing was a contact sport the way everyone’s getting banged, bruised, busted and scratched on this season’s "Dancing With the Stars.”

This weekend Brooke Burke injured her foot and had to be taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center this morning for an exam and X-rays.

Seems she was performing the treacherous and tremendously difficult jitterbug with partner Derek Hough during an important rehearsal Sunday afternoon. Suddenly, she came down hard on her right foot while doing a front flip. She immediately applied ice to her foot to reduce swelling.

But all she had was a bruise.

A bruise?

“She’s a little sore, but she rehearsed today and she feels ready to dance tonight,” an ABC spokesperson assured People.

Is there a "DWTS" curse that started in Season 5, as some people suggest?

Lance Bass thinks so. “I know it’s cursed," he tells "Access." Every major injury that has happened this season has been on this stage. Not in rehearsal. Right here on the stage.”

Burke’s foot injury is the third to occur this season on "DWTS." Two weeks ago, Olympic volleyball star Misty May-Treanor ruptured an Achilles tendon and had to withdraw from the competition.

During the first week of the season, comedian Jeffrey Ross got a corneal abrasion when partner Edyta Slwinska’s hand grazed his eye. Those acrylic nails are shaaaaarp!

Only eight celebrity dancers remain in the competition. Wonder who’ll go down -– or fall down -- tonight?

Britney Spears trial jurors struggle

Jurors at Britney Spears' driving-without-a-license trial said Monday that they were unable to reach a unanimous verdict, but a judge ordered them to continue deliberating.

"I'm going to ask you to make another attempt to resolve whatever differences you have," said Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge James Steele.

Jurors, who began deliberations Friday, resumed their discussions but twice sent notes to the judge saying they were deadlocked. Questioned by the judge after a third note, the foreman said the panel was split 10 to 2. He was instructed not to reveal whether the majority favored conviction or acquittal.

With each return to the jury room, the foreman told the judge, "everyone has become more entrenched."

But after several panelists said they thought reaching a verdict was still possible, the judge told them to continue deliberating. They later asked to review a transcript of the testimony of Spears' father, Jamie, the sole defense witness.

Spears, 26, did not attend the trial. She faces a maximum of six months in jail and a $1,000 fine if convicted of the misdemeanor.

The charge stems from an Aug. 6, 2007, fender bender in a Studio City parking lot. She originally faced an additional count of hit and run, but the charge was dropped after she reached a civil settlement with the owner of the other vehicle.

During the trial, an attorney for Spears argued that she was not required to carry a California license because she considers her native Louisiana her true home and held a valid Bayou State license at the time of the accident.

Palin draws big ratings for 'Saturday Night Live'

The entertainment summit of the season — Sarah Palin and her impersonator, Tina Fey — earned "Saturday Night Live" its best ratings in 14 years. But if you blinked, you might have missed it.

Fey was answering questions at a news conference, something Palin hasn't done yet as the Republican vice presidential nominee, when Palin walked on the stage. Fey beat a hasty retreat in the opening segment, walking past the real Palin with a barely perceptible nod.

If anyone was hoping for a side-by-side photo of the identically dressed women, they were out of luck.

Palin's guest shot, widely anticipated since Fey began imitating her a month ago, led "Saturday Night Live" to its highest mark in overnight Nielsen Media Research ratings since March 1994, when assaulted skater Nancy Kerrigan was guest host.

Although a complete audience estimate for the rest of the country won't be available until later in the week, it is likely to be around 14 million.

For the first half-hour, when Palin first came out, the audience was about 17 million. That's pretty impressive for a TV program around midnight. The week before, only two other shows in prime time had a bigger audience, Nielsen said.

Her running mate, John McCain, watched clips of the broadcast on Sunday.

"Did you catch Sarah Palin on 'SNL'?" he asked a crowd in Toledo, Ohio. "She did a great job."

In the show's opening, Fey's Palin said at a news conference: "First off, I just want to say how excited I am to be in front of both the liberal elite media, as well as the liberal regular media. I am looking forward to a portion of your questions."

Moments later, the camera cut away to the real Palin watching a television monitor alongside the show's executive producer, Lorne Michaels.

Palin stood quietly as Fey's "30 Rock" co-star Alec Baldwin came by, mistook Palin for Fey and pleaded with Michaels not to let the actor go onstage with the governor.

"This is the most important election in our nation's history and you want her, our Tina, to go out there and stand with that horrible woman?" Baldwin said.

When Michaels introduced him to Palin, Baldwin feigned embarrassment and replied: "I see. Forgive me. I feel I must say this: You are way hotter in person."

Palin got even, saying: "Thank you, and I must say, your brother Stephen is my favorite Baldwin brother." Stephen Baldwin is a born-again Christian who attended the Republican national convention in 2004.

Alec Baldwin ushered her onstage past Fey, where Palin delivered the show's traditional opening: "Live from New York, it's Saturday night."

Palin later appeared alongside Seth Meyers on "Weekend Update," declining to perform a rap song that had been written for her. Amy Poehler "filled in" for Palin as actors dressed as Eskimos, Palin's husband, Todd, and a moose danced across the stage.

"All the mavericks in the house, put your hands up," Poehler rapped, as a bopping Palin followed the instructions. "All the plumbers in the house, pull your pants up."

Palin's appearance had been confirmed by the McCain campaign a day earlier. "Saturday Night Live" had been reluctant to do so, feeling embarrassed when it announced Barack Obama would show up for the season's first show and he canceled hours ahead of time, but the early word created heavy anticipation.

Michaels owes Palin a debt of gratitude. "Saturday Night Live" so far this season has been up 76 percent over last year at this time, Nielsen said.

Even beyond that, the Fey skits have gone viral over the Internet, drawing more attention to the show. One study last week said only one-third of people who had seen Fey's impersonations did so on live TV; the rest saw them on DVRs or on their computers.

Watch Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin on Saturday Night Live.

Saturday Night Live has always been a hot-bed for politics. In the last year, Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama and Mike Huckabee have all appeared on the show, and last night, all eyes turned to SNL when vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin made not one, but two cameo appearances. Viewers have fallen in love with Tina Fey's impression of Palin, and the governor had one of two choices: ignore it, or get in on the joke.

Without a doubt, Palin was in on the joke. In her first appearance on the show, she was hilarious mistaken for Fey by 30 Rock star Alec Baldwin, who proceeded to read off a list of reasons he was offended that the real Palin was allowed to be on the show. Upon learning he was actually talking to the real Palin, he said she's a lot hotter in person. To her credit, Palin got in a good jab, naming born again minister Stephen as her favorite Baldwin.

The tone was just right for Saturday Night Live, playing up the uncomfortable nature of having Sarah Palin on the notoriously liberal show. Though Fey and Palin only had a quick scene together as they walked by one another, Fey was brilliant as ever, acting like a kid with her hand caught in the cookie jar.

The real zinger may have been during Weekend Update, when Sarah Palin came out again, but tihs time she refused to do the sketch that was written for her. This gave Amy Poehler the chance to do it, a gangsta rap song with Eskimo back-up singers and a moose assassination. Palin was a great sport, raising the roof and getting ninto the song.

For actual fans of Saturday Night Live, the Sara Palin cameo came in a distant second to the funniest cameo, that of Mark Wahlberg. Two weeks ago Andy Samberg did quite possibly the best Wahlberg impression of all time in a completely random sketch where he talked to farm animals. Wahlberg showed up next to Sarah Palin asking about Samberg's whereabouts, and later confronted him.Wahlberg then did a wonderful impression of Samberg's impression of himself, telling people to say hi to their mothers, talking to a donkey and mentioning that he produces Entourage. If the Sarah Palin cameo on Saturday Night Live was just a cheap ploy to get high ratings, the Wahlberg appearance was the extra nugget of comedy that kept the show fresh.

Saturday Night Live always gets picked on for not being funny as it once was. While not all of the sketches are winners, the presidential election combined with random celebrity impressions has helped ot make this season relevant again.

Madonna & Guy's 'Secret' Video

Guy Ritchie is reportedly 'livid' over divorce details being leaked to the press. Julie Chen talks to a divorce attorney about possible scenarios and an editor from London's Mail On Sunday.

Madonna appears for the first time since announcing divorce

Madonna vs. Guy Ritchie Live???

Did Guy Ritchie really tell Madonna she looked like "a granny on stage?"

And did she really refer to him as "emotionally retarded" during her concert in Boston?

Observers say that the recent news of Guy's abusive remarks to Madonna is just part of legal team's attempts to build a strong case against Ritchie, portraying him as a critical, controlling, insulting monster who caused Madonna to lose her self-confidence.

Really?

But why?

Perhaps the legal team expects Guy to ask for more than just the 10 million British pounds (roughly $20 million) he's said to be getting, according to a prenup that also stipulates a gag order on the film director. That means he will never be able to tell the truth about Life with Madge.

What do you think? Was it Madonna or Guy who was hard to live with?

Madonna and Guy Ritchie Settle $60 Million Divorce Deal

Guy Ritchie will get at least $34 million in cash and properties worth many more millions in his surprise settlement with Madonna, the U.K's Sun is reporting.

The 40-year-old film director gets the couple’s 1,200-acre country estate and a swanky London pub.

The cash is to cover their London properties — a family townhouse in Marylebone, a ten-bedroom property next door and two mews cottages each.

The total value will be around $60 million — enough for Guy to walk away satisfied.

The director of Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and RocknRolla already had an estimated $44 million fortune.

The couple of almost eight years announced their divorce last week.

Sarah Palin video from 'Saturday Night Live'

As if crossing paths with Tina Fey wasn't enough, Sarah Palin stuck around for a second turn on "Saturday Night Live" last night.

After appearing in the opening sketch (click on the Read more line below to see that video), the GOP vice presidential candidate returned during "Weekend Update." But, she told anchors Seth Meyers and Amy Poehler, there was a problem: "I'm not going to do the piece that we rehearsed. ... My gut is telling me it might be a bad idea for the campaign."

"You were so good at it!" Meyers protested.

But Palin stood firm. "It might just cross the line," she said.

So Poehler stepped in to perform a rap song about Palin and her home state of Alaska, complete with dancing Eskimos, a snow-machine-riding First Dude and a moose that ends up in the family freezer -- with frequent cuts to the governor grooving to the beat ("All the mav'ricks in the house, put your hands up!").

Afterward, Meyers told Palin that perhaps she had m
